The room is lovely and I am sure your baby boy will love it!! My only helpful comment is the positioning of your change mat. I am not sure if you have other kids but as a mother of three (youngest being a 12 week old boy) I have never changed a baby side on but always have stood at the base of the change mat (the short end) at the baby’s feet where all the business happens – its more comfortable and you can see and get to everything if you know what I mean 🙂 anyway, just my two cents worth ???

Absolutely love this room! I’m pretty far from having kids but I almost want to pin all the pictures for very future use. I too found a Brasilia piece for a steal – $45 for a bar cart, good condition but missing 2 tiles from the top (which is why it’s been sitting in my basement for a year – I have to get repros made). The crazy thing was it was 5pm on a Thursday (everything good should be gone) and it was sitting OUTSIDE for everyone to see in Chicago. Like, how was it there still?? I tried so hard to hide my excitement so they wouldn’t give me a higher price. Now it sits, sad, in my basement. Maybe 2016 will be its year.

And my favorite part was the ‘wee boy’ letters. sooooooooo cute.

Congratulations on baby boy! What a fun additional to the family! Love what you did with the wood animals. I also love the modern look of th closet doors. I know you have the how to in the works. I would love to modernize my laundry room closet doors, any suggestions on how to use your idea but add ventilation? Would you just space boards out 1/2 inch or could you make the slates work like blinds. Anyway foo for thought and just wanted to see what your opinion was! Thanks and keep up the inspiration!

Love this room! And I totally love the brass snail on the door frame… I grabbed 3 boxes of those from my Target when they went on clearance. They have a future as drawer knobs whenever I can get around to it! Speaking of Target, have you seen their ornament that matches your thrifted boy scout giraffe?? It’s super cute!!!
