It’s nice to see a post that isn’t all hearts and butterflies. Life is hard. It’s not perfect, and always a challenge. It’s good to hear that he has made it to the better side and you stuck by him, even though I am sure it was not an easy road traveled. For better or worse right?

I love that you make a cake to celebrate! Now this sin’t nearly on the same scale, but my mom still gives my dad a gift on the anniversary of the day he quit smoking. It has been more than 30 years and she continues to congratulate him. I hope your family continues to celebrate for many many years to come!
