They’re a nice change from brass, and they really make the cabinets look special. I love the other steel/industrial details throughout the kitchen, too, like the shelf brackets. Very cool!

I love the exposed wall, it is so nice to keep the old shining through and it looks so perfect. The handles are all gorgeous to do, such a nice touch to have them made specially and they look so Merc! I’m totally with you on having a separate kitchen & living area, nobody want to look at the dishes!

We are constantly setting off our fire alarms and the fan would eliminate odors. I would be concerned with dirt, grease and dust on open shelves, especially without a hood!

They just don’t look good and I don’t think they are that functional. So good choice opting out on the range hood. I’m curious about the open shelving. I like the look but isn’t it difficult to reach items? And, I don’t know about you but if it’s not totally arranged it starts to look messy and everyone can see it. Seems like a lot of work.
