Thank you for this list! My home must be on the lower end of light - my prayer plant, the dracaena, and my angel wing begonia definitely want more than just dim lighting conditions - they failed to thrive and started growing toward the light of the windows!

I'm an avid outside gardener, but don't know too much about indoor plants, so this is a great list for me! I actually have a Dracaenea that I kept in my old office without direct light for 3 years. Now it gets a bit more indirect light inside my home and it's still going strong 9 years after that and I had no idea they could grow to 8 ft! Thanks for introducing me to some of these plants... like moss balls... how cute!

Great list! I'm a horticulturist and this is what I do! There are also cool plants like Haworthia, mistletoe cactus, and Cryptanthus that don't mind low light. Also, you mentioned begonias which reminded me of something. One of my favorite things to do now is rooting plants indoors. You can even make them look like a potted plant. I use large cuttings of angel wing begonias and put them in jars of water. It looks like a full plant and you rarely have to add water. Just put a little hydrogen peroxide in the water to keep it from getting funky. I also do this with large plant cuttings like Philodendron selloum, Dracaenas, and Syngoniums. In my opinion, the water method is indoor plants for dummies, and when summer comes, you plant the rooted cuttings outside, so... more plants!
