One of my FAVORITE things about blogging is getting to know other bloggers. I love that we “get” each others crazy lives. Its so fun to be able to work with them on cool projects that they are doing.

So today I am sending you a few places!

First the AMAZING Lara from Less Cake More Frosting has been hosting One Word Goal 2012 on her blog for the entire month of January.

And today I am sharing my word that is going to inspire me to be a better person! And no,  its not get off your lazy #*$. There are so many inspiring posts from your fave bloggers over there, you will love it!! Lara is one of my most favorite people in the whole world. Her writing brings me to tears almost weekly. She has such an amazing gift. Oh and we even rode on the alpine coaster together in July! It was magical. We didn’t use the brakes ONCE. Cause we are brave like that.

Next I am SO beyond thrilled that I have the chance to share this with you guys!! Janell from Isabella and Max Rooms started an online mag last year called House Of Fifty.  She is such a strong voice in the home blogging community and I am so lucky that she is one of my friends.

House of Fifty is a beautiful collaboration from some seriously talented designers. And they just launched a House Of Fifty App so you can read on your ipad! Please take the time to click the mag and read through it, I promise you wont be disappointed.

There are some amazing articles about Kitchens, and making your child’s room a magical place. I have loved every single issue of House of Fifty and I am so excited to be featured in this quarters! (click the image to go to the issue!)

I love when you find a “secret” blog that not many people know about. Its like all of the tweens that thought they discovered Bieber. They didn’t DISCOVER him, but they did love him before everyone else did. That’s how I feel sometimes with the special blogs in my reader. But, lets face it. Great work deserves recognition and praise and FOLLOWERS. So my dears, I would like to share with you some of my favorite reads that are not yet household names. But they all will be, mark my words. You heard it here first. And any other cliché thing that you can think of along those lines.

Jilly and Mia are some of my favorite people ever. We have been internet buddies for quite a while. They are BFF’s that write Girls With Good Taste. And let me tell you, they have great taste. They are also extremely entertaining. They have this group of girls called Club Project that get together once a month and work on a project at someone’s house. I WISH that I had that. So please go and check them out. They are fabulous. (They also might be having a fab giveaway today in honor of their Nate appearance on Friday….but you didn’t hear it from me. Cause I want to win the most amazing prize ever!!)

Laura is hands down my favorite lifestyle blogger. She is HILARIOUS and a truly gifted writer. She writes with so much feeling that it draws you into her life. She featured my blog a couple of months ago and had the best description eva.

“If VR was in my homeroom class, I’d be doodling our names together all over my notebook.”

This is exactly how I feel about Miss Laura. In fact…if we ever meet IRL I might just have to make a notebook for her… It is really fun to see the glamorous life of Hollywood through the eyes of a Midwestern gal. Click the pic to read her love story.

Natty is sort of hard to describe. But I am going to try…take Miss America, and Ty Pennington. Imagine if they had a baby that had amazing furniture refinishing skills. That would be the fabulous Natty. I mean she shares my love of all things brassy and she is pretty much my go to girl if I have a paint question, so go check her out, I promise you will love her as much as I do.

Laura was my Crafting With The Stars partner. She is SO determined and busted out some KILLER projects. She is also super hilarious and has really amazing DIYer friendly projects. I absolutely adore her. Do you not LOVE this bedroom makeover? She did it in like 5 days…by herself…while raising a handful of kiddies.

These cute girls (Jess and Monica) are taking the blog world by storm. They are talented and incredible DIYers. I got to see their work during Crafting With The Stars (they won!) and I love the joy that they bring to their projects. They are also passionate about giving back to their community aaand have been on Nate! Love these girls.

Jonathan Olson Ink

I met Jonathan and his cute wife in the park at a blogger event in SLC. He is an artist. And I was so excited to see his insane work. Then a few months later my sister sent me this picture:

Are you DYING right now?! This mural was commissioned for a client of Jonathan’s. Except for a few frames and knick knacks everything was hand painted. I am so jealous of the awesomeness of it all. You also have to go to his blog and watch his speed painting videos. I am not lying when I tell you that I sat there in AWE the entire time and had to watch every.single.one. I LOVE seeing people doing what they love and what they are good at. Jonathan is SO talented. And his kid Charlie is pretty cute too. Ps. That is not a horse its their dog and it is HUGE.

Ms. Fabulous All Things Thrifty and I had our first ever Girls Night on Tuesday.

It. Was. So. Much. FUN!!!!

Seriously I know that you are jealous that I got to meet all of these awesome ladies. They were SOOOO fun and cute.

We had some fun giveaways with gift cards to Swig, and Durangos courtesy of my sexy husband, and Home Depot. We had some of our favorite cans of spray paint from Krylon and as hard as it was I gave away this AWESOME frame! Cute Jessie won it!

One of the funnest parts was the cute shirts that April, Summer and Celeste made.

Apparently I make that face a lot in pictures. Hmmm I will have to work on that.

You know the ones that we get weird sweaty palms when we see that they left us a comment? Or responded to one we left for them?

They are bloggers that seem unattainably awesome (exact words I used to describe Becca @ Blue Cricket when I first spoke with her)

They are the bloggers that we write emails to that start out with “I swear that I am not a stalker but……”

There are SOOOO many blogs out there that are awesome. Like truly awesome. And if they aren’t in our blog circle then guess what?? We are totally missing out.

So here is what is going to happen.

We met during some late night tweeting. Are you sensing a pattern here? Then I told her that I would die without meeting her and so Lara and her fabulous coat came to our Bloggers GNO. I was lucky enough to sit across from her and pretty much fell in love with Miss Ellie G.

Lara doesn’t “craft” she creates. She loves typography and fonts and her silhouette. Here are some of my fave projects

So aside from being one of the funniest people ever Lara is so sweet! She came to St. George a couple of weeks ago and we got to hang out a couple of times. Her husband is just as wonderful. My 7 yr old still talks about how he let her play with his iphone (cause it is way cooler than mine). Lara is one of those people that you would spend every waking hour with if you could cause you can never get enough! Plus she blogs under an alias. How cool is that? Seriously I wish I could be as awesome as Miss Ellie G.

Kimbo is one of the nicest most supportive bloggers you will ever meet. I love bouncing project ideas off of her cause she gets my brand of crazy. If I am checking my email and Court is home he knows when I am reading one from her cause I am laughing so hard. She honestly cares about people and their feelings. I pretty much just love her guts, that’s all there is to it!

I met Kari on Twitter. See there is this awesome group of crafty ladies that tweet into the wee morning hours. She featured my Sewing Room Scraps Bedding and I tweeted her a BIG FAT thank you. She later became my Kidney Sister when she featured a tutorial on how to paint my tree wall mural. By kidney sister I mean my blog BLEW UP and I told her that I owed her one and if she ever needed a kidney I would share. She said the same thing and now we are Kidney Sisters Forever! (Hopefully neither one of us will ever need a kidney.)

Kari has created this HUGE blog with 20,000+ subscribers and daily she puts projects from small blogs like you and I out there for everyone to see. Her influence is one of the biggest in DIY/Crafty Blogs and she willing to feature anyone with a project that she likes. Regardless of if you have 3 followers or 10,000.

I was lucky enough to meet Miss Kari in person last time I was in Salt Lake. She is truly genuine. She has the best personality and is SO funny. I mean she is like a blogging CELEBRITY and she is also one of the nicest people I have ever met in my entire life. She is someone that you can tell anything to and she will be honest with how she feels. I respect that SO much. She is always willing to help even with the smallest thing….like how to use live writer,  I mean her time is $$ and she totally helps me in all my non-techie glory. She has the best aura, you cant help but just love her! I completely adore her and I am so excited to be her BBFF for life! You know, cause she will never be able to get rid of me!!

If you don’t already read Ucreate hourly, you totally should. She has stuff for EVERYBODY.

I am sharing Kari with you in hopes that everyone can see that we are all the same it doesn’t matter if we have big fat blogs or not. If you see someone’s blog that you admire even if they are a blog-lebrity you should tell them how you feel because you never know what type of a friendship will grow.
