You guys. There are many cool things that come with blogging territory, but one of the coolest has got to be this moment. When my friends at Sherwin-Williams asked if I would be interested in announcing their Color of the Year for 2015 it was one of those look around the room just to make sure they were talking to the right person moments! Man, they are the best.

When I learned what the color was, I was a little surprised. I was expecting something totally different like Rust or Olive or a deep grayish blue. But I actually LOVE the color and quickly warmed up to the idea of doing something different with it.

Want to know what it is?!

The Sherwin-Williams 2015 color of the year is Coral Reef!!

Coral Reef is such a versatile color. It goes with everything under the sun! Navy? Check. Cantaloupe? Check. Spearmint Green? Check. Blush Pink? Check Check Check!!

Acid Yellow? Obviously!! (No mint and chevron pairings here my friends!)

Lately I have been craving warm colors (Nugget I am looking at you). They just bring so much life into a space. Coral Reef is pretty much the queen of that little situation. I just haaad to come up with a way to show how current and wonderful it is. This basic wall treatment has been kicking around the ol’ creativity center for a bit. Painting an entire accent wall is great, but this project is simple and special. The conclusion is that a thick vertical stripe is absolutely stunning. Paired with Coral Reef it just cant be stopped.

So here is how to recreate this project.

Start by painting your wall white. I use High Hide white (if your local Sherwin-Williams doesn’t know what that is it is an extra white base with 3 oz of white pigment added. It is my favorite white and I use it EVERYWHERE.)

Using a level, draw 2 vertical lines 2.5 feet apart. Then using painter’s tape,  tape on the outside of the lines.

The trick to getting perfect paint lines EVERY TIME is to bleed your wall color before you paint your accent color. That way, the wall color fills the grooves and valleys in your wall texture instead of the accent color. To do this just paint along the edge of your tape line.

When your paint is dry, it is finally time to put the Coral Reef up!!

It is crazy how painting a stripe like this makes the ceiling look like it is miles away, and who doesn’t want taller ceilings?! Its like saying you don’t want to have a lifetime supply of Nutella. Or a cape for the man in your life after seeing Taylor Swift’s Blank Space video. Its just not a thing.

I love how this wall turned out. It adds just the perfect amount of color without overtaking your life. And I am SO excited to see all of the places that Coral Reef is going to pop up!!

You guys!! I have been wanting to post this tutorial for.ev.er. When I was working on Cara’s Office a year ago we did this to one of the walls and while the technique was awesome, the fabric choice made it look like Angela Lansbury’s summer cottage. It was bad.

I finally recreated the project In Ashy’s Room (but did it differently so that I can offer opinion on the 2 most popular options!).

Sticking fabric to the wall is nothing new. It is perfect for those that rent (like Cara did) or for those that like to change things often (like me). There are 3 main techniques for sticking fabric to the walls in your home. 1. Staples (like YHL did here)  While I am sure this works out great, its not one of the things I am going to be talking about today. When I say sticking to the wall I mean, it looks like actual wallpaper sticking.

A quick Google search brings up 2 options 1. Corn Starch and 2. Fabric Starch. In Cara’s office we used Corn Starch, and in Ashy’s room we used fabric starch. Here is how you do both:

Bring about 4 cups of water to a boil, mix 1/2-3/4 c of Corn Starch in a bowl with a small amount of room temperature water. Take the boiling water off of the heat and add corn starch mixture slowly, stirring the entire time.

While the mixture is cooling use pushpins to attach the fabric to the top of the wall by the ceiling.

When the mixture has cooled use a paint brush or a small roller to apply it to the wall, then smooth your fabric down over the top of it.

If you have big globs, they will discolor the front of your fabric by making it a little lighter and chalky when it dries. So a nice even coat is what you want.

And here is the best part! Because we didn’t keep the fabric, I can tell you all about removal too! Taking the fabric off was relatively simple. There was a good amount of washing to get the corn starch off of the walls before we could repaint, but it wasn’t horrible!

Fabric Starch is the method that we used in Ashy’s Room. I found this awesome Nate Berkus fabric at Joann’s (its new, seriously go and check it out. That Nate hits it out of the park every time!)

We started by pinning the fabric to the top of the wall. We poured fabric starch (you can get a gallon at Walmart for $3.00) into a paint tray and used a roller to apply some onto the wall.

Then we smoothed the fabric down. The biggest difference between the two methods is at this point. Next, you use your roller and roll over the top of your fabric, saturating it with the starch.

So while both techniques work well, if I had to choose one I think I would go with the fabric starch. It is easier to work with and has less prep. Also your room smells like laundry when you are done, so that is nice. We obviously still need to finish it off, but I thought you would love to see what we have been working on!

You know the saying “Diamonds are a girls best friend”? Well. I (apparently) have taken that to heart because I want to put them everywhere!! Blush may be the new Black, but guys, Diamonds are the new Triangle.

Ashy’s room makeover is in full swing and I am loving it oh so much! One of the easiest ways to spruce up a space is with a painted focal wall. Today I am teaming up with ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape for this fun (and simple!) tutorial.

I found this retro painting by Kenneth Noland and fell in love with the colors and style of it. Ashy and I decided it would be a perfect accent for above the dresser.

Start by deciding on the size of your diamond. First things first, we moved the dresser into place so that we could make sure the scale was right.

We started by using a pencil marking the center of the wall and the width of the diamond.

Then measure 1/4 of the total width up and down and mark.

Connect the dots to make the outer edge of the diamond.

Take the total width of the diamond and divide it by 6. This number will tell you the distance between marks. (Please note that you are making 5 marks, but creating 6 sections)

Now take the width of one edge of the diamond and divide it by 6. Mark the 6 sections down both sides of the diamond.

Connect your dots.

Now it is time to tape. Our wall was freshly painted (wait at least 24 hours) so we used ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape for Delicate Surfaces with Advanced Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector (2080EL) (the orange one).

Tape along the outside of the diamond pencil marks. Because of the nature of the stripes (with no white space between colors, you have to break the taping up into 2 rounds. Tape along the outside of the 1st, 3rd, and 5th stripes.

One of my favorite tricks for PERFECT paint lines is to paint the wall color onto the tape before you start painting with your new color. This will ensure that any bleeding is the color of the wall, not the new color that will be noticeable.

After your paint is done for those 3 sections, gently pull off the Scotchblue Painters Tape and let it dry.

Once it is dry, you are going to line your tape up against the edge you just painted and tape along the edges of the 2nd, 4th,and 6th stripes.

Bleed your tape lines with the color that it is against. (For example before painting the yellow stripe we bled the taupe and the navy on the left and right, and white on the bottom and top.

This technique, coupled with ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape will give you perfect paint lines every time.

I am so in love with how it turned out. It is the perfect Desert Nomad vibe that we are itching for.

Dudes! We are overhauling a 1972 Bell Travel Trailer! Follow the entire series from the beginning here!

Hey guys!! Happy Wednesday! If you have read Vintage Revivals for any amount of time you probably know that Sharpie Paint Pens are my right hand man for awesome walls. They are just so great for designs that are too detailed for tape or stencils, and they are SO much cheaper and easier to cover up than wallpaper.

I knew that a largeish scale pattern for the the walls in The Nugget was what I wanted. (You know when you just picture something that way from the get go?)  But I had a hard time trying to decide what pattern to do. I tried (and failed) a few with a black paint pen on the white walls and it just didn’t look right. The patterns were too weird and it just looked crappy.

So much trial and error is happening in this little guy. *sob

After the little “come to Jesus” that I had with myself over the blah-ness I went out on a Google quest to find a really amazing retro but not too retro pattern. One search lead to another and I stumbled upon this amazing wallpaper pattern by Romo.

Isn’t it so good!?! The paper itself didn’t come in the colors that I was looking for but the pattern was perfect.

Trying to find the easiest way to replicate it was a bit of a brain bender. Stenciling was out because of the negative space and the lines are just so teensy. Vinyl would have been a great option but The Nugget lives outside all year round and I can picture walking outside in the heat of the Southern Utah summer and see it rolling off the walls. Of course the answer was a Sharpie but getting them all exactly the same needed a little bit more than just a ruler.

A stencil for the dots was just the ticket. They are evenly lined up, and easy to replicate, and all of the guesswork is taken out of it.

We recreated the image of the wallpaper in Photoshop and marked all of the corners and spots where the lines joined up. Ok, so notice how I only marked 1/2 of the lines on the right diamonds? I did that so that I could line the left side of the pattern up on top of them. That way everything was nice and even. Its totally one of those 3 steps forward 1 step back projects.

Then I saved that layer as a PNG and uploaded it into Design Space and cut it out with my Cricut Explore. I cut it out of heavyweight posterboard and in hindsight, I didn’t need something that heavy, but it worked really well.

I placed the stencil on the wall and used the paint pen and marked all of the dots. When I pulled the stencil away I was left with a sea of perfectly positioned marks.

When I reached this point I used a ruler to connect the outer dots on all of the diamonds first (to make sure that the spacing was right before I finished all of the inside details.

Then I just connected the top point to each mark in the middle, and down to the bottom point.

This is one of those simple but time consuming projects. (Sheesh, doesn’t it seem like I am doing a lot of those lately?)

Now for a PSA about Sharpie Paint Pens. Please note that these are PAINT PENS not regular Sharpie Markers. You can paint over these without having to prime your walls. If you use a regular Sharpie it will haunt you until the day that you die and then it will haunt your children. Please for the love of all that is good in the world do not use a regular Sharpie marker. PAINT PENS not Markers. PAINT. PENS.  (Do you guys think this was clear enough to not get emails about it?)

This project just about did me in. It took 2 project days (about 10 hours) and sort of made me want to give up on life, but every time I would come back after a break and my heart would skip a beat because the walls looked so amazing I knew that it was worth the time.

So there you go, an amazing wall treatment for less than $10!

Everyone loves a good accent wall amiright? But here is the deal. Painters tape and stencils can only take you so far. They leave a huge margin for improvement. The tool of a lifetime? Sharpie Paint Pens. How excited would you be if you could have the look of custom designed wallpaper for less than $10? That is EXACTLY what this project is all about.

I first discovered this little nugget of love while I was decorating my living room. It was life changing. I have been itching to do another one ever since and Alicia’s office was the perfect spot. I needed something quick and easy that had an awesome impact. 3 cheers for paint pens!

If you are new to this project you will want to listen to this next sentence very carefully. DO NOT use a regular Sharpie. Like ever. You will curse my great great grandchildren if you do. You want an entirely different maker called a Paint Pen. Got it? Paint pens are your friends.

Doing this project again taught me a few new things that I am really excited to pass along!

In my first post I said that you should only use water based paint pens, and that was what I totally set out to buy…until I couldn’t find any black water based paint pens. So I thought “Self, lets just try it with the oil based pens…in an inconspicuous area of course.” Much to my joy it worked just as well as the water based pens AND you can totally paint over them (which I will show you in a minute!)

Start by finding the center of your wall,  using a straight edge (I prefer a clear plastic cutting ruler,  it wins every day of the week) draw a straight vertical line. Math and crunching numbers is my least favorite pastime. So I used a 6 1/2” fabric ruler for all of it. Pretty please use a level while you are doing this project!

Mark all of your vertical lines.

Once you have your vertical lines drawn comes the really fun part.

Mark every other line at the ceiling. This is going to be where the points of your pattern reach. Then place your ruler along the ceiling and on the opposite side of your ruler mark all of the lines that you skipped. That will leave you with a 6 1/2” space between marks.

Connect your dots.

Once you have your entire row connected, line your ruler up at the lowest point and mark 6 1/2” down on the same line. If you do it on the other lines you will end up with chevrons. Then line your ruler up on those marks and mark on the opposite side of the ruler on the skipped lines.

Connect your dots!

Repeat repeat repeat!

To add the second line, mark 1” down from the low point and connect it to the high points.

So easy, so cute!!

And because I never want you guys to think that it is always smooth sailing I thought it would be fun to share the entire process with you.

After I had drawn all of my vertical lines, I started making my points. Instead of spacing them 6 1/2” apart they were only 4”. I wasn’t loving it from the beginning, but sometimes you have to see how it is actually going to look before you give up on the idea.

Can you see how much more shallow the angles are? It just wasn’t my favorite. So I painted over them and started again.

When you DIY there is always trial and error. How sad would I have been if I had just continued with the first design knowing that every time I looked at it I didn’t love it? Its worth taking the time to make adjustments and fix it.

The look of custom wallpaper that is original, and removable and CHEAP! This project gets 5 stars in my book!

The most impactful thing in Dylan’s room is absolutely the Ombre Hexagon Wall. Last week I showed you how to recreate the Hexagons and today we are chatting all things ombre.

When I decided to do an ombre rainbowish pattern on Dylan’s wall, I was really nervous that it would come out, well Punky (as in Punky Brewster). The trick to making it not feel out of control is to pick a few colors and then just work with those, as opposed to trying to harness the entire rainbow. I let Dylan choose a few of the colors for the wall on our paint store trip, and then filled in with some complimentary colors.

When you are buying paint to specifically do this type of treatment you will only need a sample size pot of each of the deepest color that you have chosen. You will only use the color at 100%  strength once and then you are going to dilute it with white. The colors are all Sherwin Williams and from left to right are (beginning at the top) Pink Moment,  Mandarin,  Gambol Gold, (Second Row) Eye Catching, Citronella,  Bagel, (Bottom Row)  Gladiola, Dragon Fruit,  Confident Yellow.

I took the paint home and mocked up the color placement in Photoshop. This was my guide for the rest of the project. Its a little rough, but it gave me the color placement and the # of hexes that I wanted to paint.

Start by painting your color at full strength. That was easy right? hee hee

Now add a small amount of your color to a cup that you can mix paint in. (I used about 1/4 c)  Add 1/3 of that amount of white paint. Mix well, and paint your next spot.

Ok now here is a word for the wise. When you are mixing your next color, drain out about 1/2 of the color that is already in the cup. If you dont you are going to need more white than necessary, and you are going to end up with LOADS of paint. So drain and then mix 1/3 parts white in with your base. Repeat this process for as many spots as you need.

Something else you need to remember is that paint dries darker. You will need to mix it so that it is a shade or 2 lighter than you want it to be when it dries.

Man, we are cruising through the tutorials from Dylan’s Dream Room! As chevron has been on its way out over the last year I think many of us have been waiting with baited breath wondering what will take its place as the Pattern King. Ikat seemed to be a pretty great contender for a bit, and then I was seeing spots (well polka dots to be exact) everywhere but I am going to throw my money on the Hexagon.

I knew immediately that I wanted to do a Hex wall in Dylan’s room (and even though it didn’t work out right the first time) I knew it wasn’t the hex pattern that was the problem. I know what you are thinking. That wall must have taken years. And while it did take time, it is for sure not as complicated as the wow factor would assume.

Please remember that this tutorial was shot with the first room design, that is why the colors don’t match up to the final room shot!

I am not a math genius. AT. ALL. But I am a DIY till I die kind of girl and if I want to do something I am going to work at it until I figure it out. Luckily for you guys there will be no math involved (unless you want a certain # of hex’s on your wall, then your on your own.)

I knew the size of hex that I was going for was about yay big. So that was where I started. For this project I used 10’ 1×2”s. They are crazy cheap (like $.98 each!!) and you will need a bunch. I went through 37.

The biggest thing that you have to wrap your brain around is the adjoining angles. Each piece connects to 2 other pieces. so your angles have to be right or the entire thing is a crapshoot.

If you are going to paint the inside of your hexagons, this is the point that you will want to do it. Push all of your boards together and roll them. You will have drippage,  the easiest way that I found to fix is is not in the prevention but in a quick sanding job after.

Now its time to cut. Don’t be nervous. Set your miter saw at 30 degrees to the left of center. Cut off the very end of your piece.

Now before you make any more cuts you are going to set up a jig. A jig is basically a way to precisely cut each piece the exact same way. To make this jig I mounted my saw onto a piece of MDF (you probably wont need to do this if you have a saw table!)  Then I rotated the piece that I just cut so that the longest side was against the saw and measured how long it needed to be from long point to long point. I used some scrap wood screwed to the MDF and mounted them with the correct angle so that my piece fits perfectly inside.

Now you are really ready to cut. Keep your saw set at the 30 degree angle and rotate your piece of wood,  its much faster!

Each piece that you cut should look like this, with a long side and a short side.

This is the part where you are going to become a master cutter. Make this cut over and over and over again.

Done? Good. Now its time to set up a second jig to finish off our piece.

Rotate your saw to the 30 degree angle to the RIGHT of center. Use the clamp on your saw and secure one of your pieces on the LEFT side of the saw blade. You should have your long corner in the path of the blade.

Now place a piece end to end with your guide.

When you cut it you will end up with this (I pulled the scrap triangles out of the way so you could see the angles)

This is where each saw is different and you need to adjust your jig according to your blade width to get a perfect point.

Then you are going to line up your pieces to be cut with your jig,  making sure the long angle is through the cutting path.

Now do this about 7 billion times. Making sure every 20 or so cuts that your jig hasn’t jogged. Ha. I am funny.

Now is the REALLY fun part. Mounting them to the wall. You will absolutely need a nail gun for this part.

I started on the left side of the room to mount mine,  going back I think I would start at the ceiling, just so that I had a better way to mark the level line. Again, one of those do as I say not as I did teaching moments.

To do this you will need a trusty roll of painters tape and a level.

Start by taping a few pieces up on the wall (make sure that they are level vertically and level horizontally with the pieces around them. The reason we are taping and not nailing is because when one angle is off, it throws off the entire hexagon. If we tape them in place then we can adjust the angles to make sure they are right before we are totally committed to that spot

.

Once your hexagon is fantastically fantastic use your nail gun to secure the wood to your wall. I used one nail in the center of each piece.

Then using your painters tape build off from there (making sure that everything is level!)  You can also use a laser level to line up your horizontal hexes if you are smart like that.

And then you just go.

This project is time consuming but its not hard,  its just a lot of repetition.

When you are done it is totally worth it.

Do you know what is good about having a giant dog face on the wall? It doesn’t have horrific gas like the little puppy sitting on my lap. Do you know what else is good about a giant dog face on the wall? It makes your 4 year old say “MOM! Is this REALLY my room?!” when she sees it.

This project is VERY simple and a little time consuming. I probably spent 4 hours on it. But it was worth every single second.

If you have watched Dylan’s Dream Room video than you know she mentioned that she wanted puppies in it approximately 98,013 times. The girl LOVES animals. So the idea of a giant puppy head was born. When I decided to put her little art desk underneath, my mind went to where she would hang all of her paintings as they were drying. From there the corkboard idea was born. Gigantor puppy head + corkboard = SUPER fun project.

First things first, get your base paint up on the wall. I used Pink Moment from Sherwin Williams. Its a great bubble gum pink that is a touch more orange than blue. (Basically its a warm bubble gum.)

Next its time to pick your image. Here is the secret. You want something that has clean lines, and the best thing to use for this type of image is wait for it…..pumpkin carving stencils. Just Google search ___________________ pumpkin stencil. I searched English Bulldog Pumpkin Stencil and this is the image that I chose:

Notice how there are 3 colors. This is a good thing. You wouldn’t believe the difference that another color makes. So see if you can find one that has 3.

Print out your stencil onto an overhead projector transparency (if you are old skool like me) or use those new fangled computer projectors to project it against the wall.

(For some reason my printer only printed the darkest area, which was fine,  I will show you how to fix that in just a second.)

To rock the corkboard buy a few (I used 4) rolls of cork at Joann’s (they have MUCH better prices than Staples and you can use a coupon!)

Start by pinning your corkboard into place with push pins. It needs to be secure but you are just holding it in place so you can cut it out,  its not a permanent job. From here you have 2 options. You can trace your pattern onto the cork with a marker or pen (like I did in the picture below) or you can just cut along the shape with an exacto knife (which I did from this point forward)  totally up to you.

To attach the corkboard to the wall I tried a few different things. Originally I thought spray adhesive would work, but it was no where near strong enough. So then I tried Wallpaper Glue, and that was even worse. So I turned to my smart friend Google. Apparently the only way to attach cork to something is to use some majorly heavy duty adhesive. I would much rather fill 1000 holes than scrape and retexture a wall. So I used small copper wire nails. (EXACTLY like the ones I used in my DIY String Art) I nailed them every inch and 1/2 or so around the outer edge of the cork. The plan with the copper was for it to look cute, not match the cork but they blend in REALLY well, so if you are wanting to hide them go with the copper.

Once the cork was on I traced the area that didn’t print (the white part) and hand painted it on. The good news is that you really cant screw it up too badly. Just do your best to stay in the lines.

Can you imagine the possibilities with this?! Good riddance horribly ugly giant vinyl stickers.

Planking walls is nothing new to the DIY world. In fact there are a bunch of great tutorials out there on how to do it with a million different materials, techniques, and results. Sometimes all of the chatter around the blogosphere can make so much noise that you don’t know what the best way to do something actually is.

That’s what I am here for my friends,  I will be the guinea to your pig,  I will be the trial to your error,  I will be the crash to your dummy, (ok you get where I am going with this….)

I think that everyone. EVERYONE. has their own inner design voice (whether its Vern Yip or Emily Henderson or Honey Boo Boo’s mama) and you need to take the things that inspire you and make them your own. That is what I did with this project.

I started with the black and white striped hallway (if you are loving it you can see how to perfectly paint stripes here) which I still loved a lot. The problem I was facing was that when I painted it I used an off white (it was the color we painted all the doors and baseboard in the entire house…shoot me now) and I wanted WHITE (my favorite is Sherwin Williams Pure White Base) I wasn’t married to it enough to paint over the off white stripes and keep the black. And we all know the fastest way to get rid of something is to hide it,  just ask my 8 year old self  (thats how I cleaned my room.)

When it comes to the actual planking you have a handful of options. At your local hardware store you can find individual tongue and groove planks in packs (like Amy used on her ceiling)  you can use sheets of paneling (like you would find in a basement in a house built in 1971),  you can have sheets of ply cut down like Sausha did.

I did none of those. The thriftiest option was to use 1/8” Masonite. It is that dark particle board that is rough on one side and shiny smooth on the other that you usually see on the back side of dressers. You with me still? It is something like $8.00 for an 4×8 sheet. Have it rip cut at Lowes or Home Depot into the width that you want your planks to be. (They have a giant saw that they will do this on and its really fast.)

Decide what angle and direction you want your planking to go. Mine are at 45 degrees because its simple to remember and awesome!

Everywhere an end of your board hits (on a corner, door frame, floor etc.) you will need a 45 degree angle. Get a few pieces measured and cut. (For those that dont know, you can cut a precise angle by rotating the base on your miter saw to 45 degrees).

It is crucial to have a nail gun to do a project like this. It will save you so much time and give you a professional finish.

Nail a few boards up, step back and make sure that you are in love. (notice that were the pieces meet end to end they are not 45 degree angles,  don’t do that, it will look stupid. Also notice that mine don’t perfectly touch end to end. I wanted it to look more rustic and imperfect so I did that on purpose.

I used a few of the triangles that I had left over from cutting the end of the boards so I brought them inside and used them to space each row. Sometimes you gotta rock what you got.

Once you get going it is extremely simple. Measure, cut, space, nail, over and over and over.

Just remember that everywhere a plank ends it needs to be at a 45 degree angle.

I wasn’t sure the best way to go about painting when I started,  to paint the wall and the edges and then install and paint the fronts? Paint everything before hand and then go back and touch up the nail holes?

I decided to paint nothing, fill the nail holes, and then do it all in one fail swoop. It was sort of crappy having to paint in the cracks, but I don’t know if it was any more time consuming than if I would have done it the other way. I am planning on doing it a few other places in my house, so I will let you know!

All in all I love it. Cant wait to show you the other places it is going to live!!

Yo yo! You guys, my living room is literally 98% done. I have one small project to finish and then dun dun dun dun DONE!

So all you ladies out there know what a huge difference mascara makes to your over all finished makeup routine right? (and even better than mascara are fake eyelashes)  This project is like that. You don’t know what you are missing until you look naked (or your room looks naked) without it.

Today we are talking window trim, and more specifically black window trim. I know it may seem a bit well, black, but it made the HUGEST difference in my living room. Here is the before and after:

This project LITERALLY took me one morning to do (because that is all the time I had!)  Its actually a fun story. At 10:00 I got an email from Laura. She co-owns Southern Utah Bride magazine, check it out if you need any sort of inspiration, they are so fantastic. They were doing a mid century photo shoot the next day and their location had fallen through. So naturally with my famous orange couch she thought of me. There is nothing like a quick deadline to get me moving. I had been playing around with the idea of framing out the windows since we took out that awful beam and put black moulding up in our hallway. So my BFF Hailee came over and helped me get the job done. I have no idea what I would do without that girl. She is my Justin Beiber to a screaming teenager. You can check out the photo shoot here.

And because of the crazy rush I didn’t take any pictures. So if you are wanting a tutorial you will have to wait a bit (because I am doing it in my kitchen too!!)

Painting high contrast trim is such a great pick me up  if your room is feeling a little stagnant. Its like the best set of falsies you can buy.
