I just read the story. Congrats on your healing. My father died suddenly 9 years ago, only one month shy of his 55th birthday, partly due to complications caused by alcohol abuse. Addiction is such a slippery slope.
I pray to God daily, asking him to keep my family members safe. He answers my prayers but not always in the ways that I expect. That’s what I see in your story too. You’ve been through hell but your hell might have been far worse had God not been there shielding you from total disaster.

WOW! My heart just went to my throat. I am going to read more but so so so thankful for 2 years of sobriety. My dad is 20 years plus but I remember the HELL that it was living with an alcoholic. Bless you sweet girl! And so thankful for his milestone. AND FOR HIS MERCY WHICH IS NEW EVERY MORNING!
