as the daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and mother of a glazier (!) windows speak to me!! These are absolutely beautiful. I love that you went with the black, they look SO sharp against your white walls. As others have said, I can’t wait to see when you start adding furniture and decor!!

In reply to Alli. I work in window coverings so I’ll take a stab at this question. Window depth is more determined by house construction than window selection. Older wood frame construction was typically done with 2x4s and new construction is done with 2x6s. 2x4 construction creates really narrow window depth which frequently requires outside or OB mounted shades. With that being said, you will get more depth if you use picture/fixed or casement windows rather than double/single hung windows because hung windows take up more depth.

Can you explain a little bit about window depth? None of the windows in our cape cod-style home are deep enough to hang inset blinds or shades. Is that is a window choice? Or a house choice? How did window treatments impact the windows you picked?
