Hi, Linda O. I’m not sure if your comment was sarcastic — in which case, well played! — but if not, I’m curious if the picture itself bothers you, or if it’s the combination with Christmas? Like, would it be as offensive to you if she posted it at New Year’s or Halloween?

I like this family’s sense of fun. As someone who can barely wrangle her own kids for a picture, I applaud the collaboration and cooperation this must take. That’s a loving family!

This year has a different photographic quality than their others — less great-lighting polish and more garage-band shadowy vibes. Which is probably the point.

No matter what taste level any of these are, there is so much planning and prep that goes into these, it’s easy to see how much all of you love doing this for the parents, and how much you love those parents. As long as THEY get a kick out of it, that’s what counts. Thanks for sharing all of them.

Perhaps the same goes for Linda, and her not calling their tradition “disgusting”. Anyone looking at this should see people who enjoy getting together and doing something fun together as a family.

I have no doubt in my mind that Mandi & her family make time for the Lord at Christmas (& otherwise), but I think there is also time for getting together and taking silly photos with their family too….the two things can coexist.
