So…here is the deal. Regardless of where the Epic Makeover winner was we were having a GNO (Girls Night Out). It just so happens that Jessica lives in Herriman (Salt Lake area) So guess what that means!?!?!
After hosting our St. George GNO I have decided that food is good but not the reason people come so…
How would you guys feel about having a “bring your fave desert to a park and visit the night away”?
Yes, No, other ideas?
That way everyone can come and go as they please, its free and we wont get kicked out when the restaurant closes.
So I need to know which park to have it at!! Give me your ideas and leave a comment if you are planning on coming!!
Murray Park is a good, central one in the valley. I’m sure there are others, but I can’t think right now. (Preggo brain.)
I’ll probably be able to come – if my husband will let me before we leave at 4:00a.m. the next morning to drive to Oregon! 🙂
I think it sounds like a blast! Anywhere south SLC north Utah county is ideal, but I’ll come wherever:)
Love this idea…I’m down for any park in the Salt Lake area.
I would LOVE to come, but we have a wedding reception that night… So I can’t come until LATE. Anywhere between South Jordan (the reception) and SLC would be great for me!
I could probably come! Sorry I don’t know of a park to suggest.
Awww shucks! I am going to be in Cali! I would have love to come and meet one of the most amazing DIY’ers ever!! Have lots of fun.
The West Jordan park is really big and beautiful! I’m sure there will need to be plenty of room for all the VR lovers up here in the 801.
I’m coming. No idea on the park. Murray park is good, as long as the river isn’t raging still. But it’s easy to get lost there, might be hard to narrow down the location there. I like the park idea though..
xoxo,
Amy
West Jordan Park is good for me. I hope I can come, but not sure yet as my Daughter leaves the next morning for 3 weeks in Austrilla.
🙂 Colleen
Fun!!!!
This would be a fun park

Ekk I am quite excited since I love your blog, watch you all the time on Studio five and want to meet you. Murray park is a really good one. 🙂
I am there!! Any park is fine. I like Murray or West Jordan Park- both are nice and big.
Liberty Park Rules.

I’d love to come. Falcon Park in Sandy has a nice covered area with picnic tables. And I love the “BYOD – bring your own dessert” idea.
Warmly, Michelle
Love love love the idea. I was so sad I missed the st. George one-I came back to SLC the day before so I’m extatic that your having one here. Sugar house park is a great place to have it.

Screechy SCREAM!!! I’m coming to Utah on Thursday-Saturday to visit old roommates. I’m so excited to get to actually be in the area! I’ll have to improvise my dessert since I’m not sure how well my favorite dessert will travel. We’ll see. Yea! I vote for Sugar House park since I actually know where that one is.
What a great idea! Check out Lone Peak Park here: https://sandy.utah.gov/government/parks-and-recreation/parks-division/city-parks/lone-peak-park.html
Indoor and outdoor pavilions, lots of space, lots of parking, easy to find (even once you are at the park), and you can make reservations. Can’t wait to get together!!!
I’m putting it in my calendar, I think murray park would be good too
Sounds so fun and I’d love to see you and all my blogging friends again. Any park mentioned sounds great. I’m planning on being there.
Liberty Park really is gorgeous this time of year
How about you guys all hop on a plane to Chicago, we’ll get wasted on pizza and beef sandwiches, and then we’ll hit up Michigan Avenue for some amazing shopping.
No??? Okay, well it was worth a shot… 😉
YAY!! 801 is the way to go!! (that was cheesy) but I’m so excited!!! Sugarhouse park is nice and central…but it’s probably hard to get reservations. Murray park is nice too.. that’s all I know.
I can’t wait!!!! oh and this is my rsvp :0)
I love Liberty park, lots of picnic tables, shade trees, no reservations, but we’ve never had a problem getting a great spot & lots of tables for a honkin’ family reunion…
I’m a downtown kinda girl…but I’m north anyways, so I’ll be driving a ways to get wherever…
I want to come, but I will have a 3-day old baby and won’t be making the drive down! Have fun and pig out for me!!!!
I’m planning on coming! I also love Murray Park. It can be confusing but when you make the reservation they are really good with giving directions to the exact pavilion. We have a huge family reunion there every year.
