Its my favorite of all blogging days! Its Room Reveal day!!! YEAH! If you’ve been following along all month then you are totally aware of what is going on here. If you’re a newb then welcome and lets get you up to speed!
All month I’ve been overhauling my daughter Ivie’s bedroom. I was assigned one of six trends by HGTV Powerhouse Taniya Nayak and my friends at Frogtape and given $1000 budget to make some magic.
Lets get on with the reveal yes?
This was the jumping off point.
We took everything out of her room that we weren’t going to use and that basically left us with a white box and a dresser.
This is what it looks like now:
Ivie loves it. I love it. Its a good day at the Gubler house. Sources and more tutorials are coming so stay tuned! Next Monday voting begins and I would LOVE to be able to donate $5000 to Children’s Miracle Network, so get your voting fingers ready and I’ll let you know when its live!
The biggest thanks to Frogtape for inspiring us to make this project happen, and head over and check out the other contestants rooms, they are amazing!!
Um, this is amazing. I love how detailed you can make a room but when you see the big picture it looks beautifully simple. NO idea how you do it. Woot!
that is pretty epic! its absolutely gorgeous! there’s so much detail but yet it feels completely calm and cozy and just a place that i’d love to hang out in.
This turned out better than I ever imagined! Absolutely love it. Can’t wait for all of the tutorials because I think I need this room in my house!
It’s so nice! I just hope your teenager don’t kill plants like mine does!!! Good job Mandi
Stunning…I am a geologist from out West (living Virginia) and this room is my spirit animal/room. Love, love, love!
I love your ROOM REVEALS so much!! Ivie is such a lucky girl!! (cool name by the way.) My favorite thing about your room reveals is how original and unique they are. I always see something new and different.
THAT WALL. I mean, it makes the room so cheerful/fun. AND I love all the thoughtful vintage pieces and artwork. It shows your style and personality so much. Of course, you made the furniture again, which constantly amazes me. Go Mandi!
OMG that flamingo!!! Please tell me that’s not thrifted…I need it.
This is amazing. I absolutely love it. I wish I had just one smidgen of your creativity.
Wow! Looks so grown up, doesn’t it? Can’t wait to see how you made the bed! Love it!
BOOM. There it is. You have, hands down, THE best room makeovers ever! I follow several design bloggers from all over and none of them are doing what you do, like you do. So, so good. Only sad thing… Aren’t you guys moving? Can you take this room and shove it in (or add it on) to the new house???
Oh! Wow! This is what I mean when I ask my Mom if I can redo my room!
This is so SUPER amazing! Tell Ivie that her mom is AWESOME!!! ?
It’s just so perfect and I love it
Ivie and ivy! The room looks killer. I spy a jug from CB2, been wanting that one for awhile! That bed is EPIC. One of my fav room reveals yet.
I love the whole room, great job!!!
In the words of Jerry Lee Lewis, Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire! Well done lady. I can only imagine your daughter is loving this new space.
Wow, you really go all out. I think you hold the record for the most unusual bedroom wall treatments. The honeycomb was genius, the wooden animals really unusual, and this one is indescribable.. Well done.
I love the little details that make up this space. The druzy crystals in a bowl. The headphones on the flamingo. The slats on the side of the bed. Clever little decorating ideas like that just make me smile.
Thank you for continuing to provide inspiration and out-of-the box thinking. I love coming back to your blog for ideas. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
really really like it! thanks for sharing!
What a bedroom makeover! On the before photo, showing how the room looked after removing all the unusable furniture and decorations, looked a bit like a comfortable prison cell, a bunk with a drawer. Then I saw the after photo – love it! I’m fascinated about the overall process of deducting what to include in the room. Can you make a post about your process, broken down to small steps that sum up to the master plan at hand?
pleeeeease tell how to hang the chair. i have been hoarding a hanging chair for years and want to hang it but also don’t want to damage my child!
Love this room Mandi! Are you going to post a tutorial for the bed?
That hanging chair caught my eye! Does it only serve as a decor or can it really carry a person? Do you have any tips as to making a sturdy one that an adult ~ 120 lbs can sit on?
