Went to Goodwill in search of a system to corral my son’s toys. And this gem was just sitting there. $25, some touch up paint, and a whole lotta Lysol + elbow grease later, we have a new toy chest! Well this was my first comment but it didn’t go through: I am still pinching myself over that sofa find! I told my husband that I would never be unfaithful, but if I was, it would be with that sofa. Not even ashamed. I do have to say, the filter is very forgiving – it has been in an upholsterer’s storage space for 5 years and is super dirty. We are going to splurge on a re-upholstery job, though. I’ll have to give you all an update.
These are my absolute favorite posts! I love love LOVE them so much, I can’t express it in words. I just went to my local Habitat today and bought two pieces of framed artwork. I walked in just intending to browse with my mother, but I just can’t help myself! Thanks for sharing what others find in their stores. It makes my day <3

Thanks for the feature, Mandi! Good detective work with the Nate Berkus for find. Not to gloat, but I think that is the actual lamp I got at Goodwill. I believe Target stores donate their super-clearanced and damaged merchandise to Goodwill (the lamp I got has a tiny dent on it – I have no idea why that means it’s worth TEN PERCENT of its original price but I am sure not complaining!)
There’s often like-new or mildly damaged Target merchandise at Goodwill. In fact, in that same trip I saw some neon tights from Target that I almost bought to try your lampshade trick 😉
