Happy Thursday to you!
Welcome to Challenge #2 of the Fearlessly Finding Awesome Club (FFA, no cows involved). Last challenge I encouraged you to write about how you want your home to FEEL.
Yesterday I jumped on the Homegoods website because its my FAVORITE Store store (ie non thrift store) and saw that they have a style quiz. Now if you’ve read VR long enough you know that I love junk like that and ALWAYS take them.
Well, guess what?
It was DEAD on. It took everything that I have spent months trying to say and describe and wrapped it up in a neat little paragraph.
Freaky right?
This is what it said about me:
Mandi, You Are A DRAMATIC MODERN
You keep up with culture, style, and trends, but have a classical appreciation for beautiful forms and well-made, functional objects. You are inspired by good design and quality craftsmanship, but have a sense of the theatrical and the fun. You liven things up and infuse personality into your rooms. You like how something ornate mixes with modern, or how daring flourishes, like bold color or a wild pattern, can inject some humor and contrast to the serious, straight lines of modern pieces. You are a style leader, and your friends look to you for advice. You are not afraid of glamour. Because you embrace color, art, and elegance, your home makes a happy impact.
You value creativity. You are stylish and fun loving, and can be an inspiration to others. You have a natural sense of drama, and you know you have to be willing to take risks—whether with colors, finishes, furniture choices, or ideas—for your home to stand out. Your home can be happy and lively and the place all of your friends want to be.
Literally Homegoods are you looking in my windows? It also said that I have a problem with organization and clutter…YES!
I think that describes me PERFECTLY. I mean it even talks about humor! And not being afraid to take risks. I literally want to marry whoever wrote this because CLEARLY they are my soul mate.
So.
For today’s challenge I want you to take the quiz and post about your results or post them in the comments below if you don’t want to write a post about it. (I always like to know what all the other quiz options are….)
Last challenge I did not enforce these rules much, but for the love of all things spray painted PLEASE only link up posts that are for this specific challenge. It just makes everyone mad (I got a few emails last week about it AND I hate being the bad guy.)
This post is in no way sponsored by Homegoods, I just love their store and love the quiz!
Love Your Guts, Mandi
This assessment is pretty goog, I love antiquing ( I have a green velvet couch) and am a designer so I love to shake things up!
Kat, You Are A GLAMOROUS CLASSIC
You have a refined sensibility with an appreciation for history and tradition in your furniture and your rooms. You value beauty and craftsmanship. You are visually sensitive and understand how symmetry and a balanced layout give order to a room. But you definitely like to shake things up with some unabashed luxury and glamour to keep things from getting boring. You go for rich materials like velvets, one-of-a-kind objects, lady-like touches, glimmering accessories, and a sense of old-Hollywood romance that makes your home dramatic and elegant.
How fun! I loved this quiz… makes me so happy to think that I really am what I am going for… does that make sense? haha Here’s mine:
Cassi , You Are A COUNTRY CLASSIC
You have a naturally refined sensibility with an appreciation for tradition and history. You value beauty, craftsmanship, and family heirlooms, but you like to open things up with pretty, easy-going pieces like painted wood or distressed furniture, lovely florals and other patterns, and bunches of fresh flowers that give your home a breezy, relaxed feeling. You love unique finds, have a thrifty, creative side, and can make these things work together.

Jackie Leavitt, you are a Bohemian Classic
You have a refined sensibility and bring a sense of history and tradition into your decor. You appreciate how symmetrical arrangements and beautiful, well-crafted pieces create a solid foundation to a room. But you like to shake up this restraint with objects and accessories that express your personality and your love of other cultures. When traveling, you seek out unique objects that reflect what you love, and you use them in a sophisticated way. You want people to feel comfortable in your home, and cozy chairs, ethnic fabrics, unique pieces, and even a little touch of quirk or humor give your house a laid-back, Bohemian flair.

Your Happy Home Colors
Yellow
Putting Color to Use!
Wall paint is a wonderful and fairly low-risk way to bring color into your home. You can even just go for a single accent wall. Curtains or rugs, either with pattern or in a solid hue, are a sophisticated way to bring the excitement of color to a room with an otherwise neutral, refined palette. Small, decorative accessories—like pillows, throws, tablecloths, and bedspreads—add cheer, and you can easily change them out for the seasons or on a whim!
Putting Your Style to Work!
With your style and needs in mind, here are a few tips that will help you make your home a little happier.
1. Your Design Challenge: UNIFY The good news is, you probably have many things you love and have collected, and no one would ever say your home is boring! You’ve done the hard part; now you just need to pull it all together. If your furniture seems like a mish-mash, unify it through similar upholsters or slipcovers. When grouping objects, try to find something they have in common. If they share a shape, color or material, they will look like a collection. A tray is every decorator’s secret weapon for making groups of small objects look purposeful and sculptural. If your accessories are all over the map, try subduing the upholstery or wall color, so your small items are the stars.
2. Your Happy Place Make this room as comfortable and inviting as possible by bringing in some real furniture like an armchair or a sofa if you have the space. A little lamp on the counter or decorative hanging light can set the mood. Stools are great perches and can easily be moved around. Don’t forget to bring your personality and style into this room: hang some art or display a collection of family photos in mixed frames. Consider bold, happy colors in the kitchen as well, like brightly colored pots and pans, big bowls for corralling fruits and vegetables, and trays for spices, oils, teas and pepper mills.
3. Be Party-Ready All the Time! Scent: The first thing you notice about a home is how it smells. Use naturally fragrant cleaning products. If you find a scented candle or fresh potpourri you love, stock up on it. Any scent you like, whether perfume or linen spray, can be used on upholstery, bedding or just spritzed into the air.
Mood: Nice, flattering light makes us feel good. So nix the harsh, direct light from overhead fixtures in favor of the softer glow from floor and table lamps. Also, stock up on some votive candles and a couple of hurricane lanterns for setting around the room.
Food: Devote space in your pantry or on a shelf for go-to party essentials: crackers, dip, chips, nuts—whatever you like to serve. Keep on hand a collection of attractive bowls and cocktail napkins, and you’ll be able to set a spread—instantly!
Drink: The simplest and chicest thing is to have a drinks tray or table always set up. Include a mix of pretty glasses, an ice bucket, a lovely pitcher, and bottles of soda and water. When the bell rings, just add ice and limes.
I am Bohemian Classic, and my happy colors are the purple/blue/aqua combo. xo

Oh, my! It was completely accurate…I blogged about it here: https://ewbpcb.blogspot.com/2012/04/defining-style.html
I wrote a post on my blog, but didn’t see a place to link up, so here’s the link to my post: https://eisenbrandt.blogspot.com/2012/04/defining-your-style.html
Woo! I love home goods, lady! I took the quiz and it was pretty accurate.

Happy times!
I got “country casual”.
“Your home expresses your open, easygoing approach to life. You love unique finds, and can turn a few mismatched garden chairs or floral teacups into a charming arrangement. You appreciate a pretty mix of relaxed pieces, like painted wood or weathered furniture, lovely florals and other patterns, lots of throws and pillows, mementos and bunches of fresh flowers that give your home a unique sense of breeziness and charm.
You value order. You feel happiest if your home is well organized. You understand that when your house is in order, your mind feels clearer. Rather than a lot of meaningless objects or overly-designed items, you are happier with a few well-placed things. Your home is your respite from a busy life. Try to avoid letting things into your home that you don’t really love.”
It’s a pretty good fit. Thanks for sharing! I haven’t met a quiz that I wouldn’t take. 😉
Me too!
I got Earthy Casual. Very true, very true. That was SO MUCH FUN:)
I cracked up because I took the quiz twice…. because you know some of the questions had two different answers that I felt both applied and do you know what? I am up with the same answer each time! The colors were kinda on as I do like to accessorize with some of them but yellow is definitely not a big color in our home… i.e. flowers only!
You Are A COUNTRY CASUAL
Your home expresses your open, easygoing approach to life.

Elements like pillows, throws, overstuffed furniture, and good lighting set the mood. You may also enjoy layering different fabrics or mixing patterns to create a cozy effect.
I read the different styles over I see that in all honesty I am a combination of country casual and country classic but I don’t like lots of fru fru stuff that some consider “country.” Here’s a link to my just made over kitchen…. and oddly enough it is the only common room in our house with that much color (think shades of tan walls in the rest…)

@ Creatively Living
pretty darn accurate. thanks for sharing the quiz 🙂
Jill, You Are An EARTHY CASUAL
You’re interested in creating a welcoming home where people feel comfortable and happiness flourishes. You appreciate the warmth and individuality of natural materials and handcrafted things and are inspired by colors and forms from nature. You love mixing up different textures and are sensitive to the tactile qualities of objects. Your style is grounded and solid, not flighty or frilly. And you are never taken in by the trend of the moment.
You value creativity. You are stylish and fun loving, and can be an inspiration to others. we broke Homegoods 🙁
I’m EARTHY CASUAL:
It is very, very accurate, especially this part: “you are never taken in by the trend of the moment.” and “You value order. You feel happiest if your home is well organized.” Thanks for sharing the quiz!
I was an Elegant Classic the first time, but since some of my answers were really hard to choose, I took it again and ended being a Country Classic. I guess that makes me an Elegant Country Classic, but I think I really lean more towards the Country side than the Elegant side.
Suesan, You Are An ELEGANT CLASSIC
You have a refined sensibility with an appreciation for history and tradition in your furniture and your rooms. You value beauty, things that are well crafted, and family heirlooms. You are visually sensitive and understand how symmetry and a formal layout give order to a room, and hence your home is refined and calming. You are not taken in by the trends of the moment. You go for things with a timeless appeal, and appreciate old-fashioned virtues like manners and handwritten notes and making a home that is welcoming for others.
You are probably not one to go in for crazy color, and you may want to keep things fairly neutral and sophisticated overall. But try selecting a duo or trio of colors that work well together, and introduce one or more of them into your curtains, wall color or rugs. This will tie the overall palette together in a coherent way. You could even incorporate your color palette in smaller doses, like in your tablecloths, cushions, throws, or bedspreads, for example.
I ended up as elegant classic and then retook and put some of my second choice answers….and got country classic! https://ewbpcb.blogspot.com/2012/04/defining-style.html
That was too Fun! I blogged about my Bohemian Classic style.
Visit me at https://www.sosimplerooms.blogspot.com
for all the details.
Bohemian Eclectic
You have wide-ranging interests and influences and so appreciate a mix of styles, cultures, periods, and objects. You would never use a matching suite of furniture or want a home that seemed cookie-cutter. You have an artist’s eye that enables you to mix the old or the unusual with the new and modern. When traveling, you seek out unique objects that reflect what you love, and you use them in a sophisticated way. Your home is visually intriguing and comfortable, with a delightful mix of cozy chairs, ethnic fabrics, elegant pieces, hand-made items, even a little touch of quirk or humor, all of which gives your place a laid-back, Bohemian feel.

I am Country Casual, which was spot on, but the colors were off. Which is okay, because I’m really unsure about colors anyway 🙂 My favorite sentence….

I would never refer to myself as elegant. However, I do have furniture from my great-grandparents that I love and I think the description is pretty right on! Although, a lot of what it said in mine is mentioned in everyone else’s that has commented! 🙂
I’m a Glamorous Classic. Thanks for telling us about a fun quiz!

Thought this described me quite well! Though I’m not quite as much of a risk taker as it suggested…but I’m still learning!
It suggested muted yellows, which made me laugh, as my husband was teasing me just an hour ago about how I’m adding yellow to every room! What can I say? It makes me happy! Great quiz!
I finally got on to take my quiz. Mine was: A COUNTRY ECLECTIC
You have wide-ranging interests and influences and therefore appreciate a mix of styles, periods, and objects. You would never use a matching suite of furniture or could stand a home that seemed cookie-cutter. But you love the breezy, layered look of wonderfully personal beach houses and the happy florals of English cottages. Bringing the outdoors in makes you happy: a little chintz or ruffle or weathered furniture, urns filled with tennis rackets, colored glasses filled with cut flowers, vintage-looking, mixed tea cups, and all things that give a sense of a happy, simple life.
You value creativity. You are stylish and fun loving, and can be an inspiration to others. I can not believe how spot on it was! And I love to see everyone else’s results and see they aren’t giving like 3 pat answers. Thanks for posting Mandi! I love this!

Wow-Dead on!
Karen, you are a Glamorous Eclectic
You have wide-ranging interests and influences and so appreciate a mix of whatever you deem fantastic. You would be bored to tears using a matching suite of furniture or could never stand a home that seemed cookie-cutter. You fearlessly embrace luxury, beauty and fun. Velvet, silver, graphic patterns, even wallpaper; you understand the old-Hollywood, movie star sense of theatrical extravagance. You do not understand the minimalist idea of less is more. For you, more is more, so long as it is chic and exciting.

Bohemian Classic
Maybe they’re like horoscopes where they say things like, “you love beauty…” Who doesn’t? But I still felt like it helped me understand my own style better. Fun! thanks for sharing!
Bohemian Classic up in here, with the yellow/orange palette (yay!)
“When traveling, you seek out unique objects that reflect what you love, and you use them in a sophisticated way. I am glamorous eclectic!
Dude! This was right on the money:
Paulina, you are a Bohemian Casual
You are interested in creating a place where people feel relaxed. You have a variety of interests and influences and so appreciate different styles, cultures, and objects. Your home is cozy, with comfy chairs, throw pillows and places to set a drink or a book. But it also feels creative and visually intriguing, because you have an artist’s eye that allows you to find objects that appeal to you in a unique and personal way—whether from your travels or from a local shop. This gives your home a feeling of being laid-back, and maybe even a bit quirky with its mix of pieces—some of which are classic, some handmade, some ethnic, and some just rich in meaning to you.
You value comfort. Your home is a warm and open friendly place, and you feel happiest when everyone is cared for and relaxed in your space. Elements like pillows, throws, overstuffed furniture, and good lighting set the mood. You may also enjoy layering different fabrics or mixing patterns to create a cozy effect.
ANd I love how other Bohemain Classic’s have different descriptions.

This sounds good but the colors were all wrong…i’m not earthy at all…I don’t think! Ha ha!
Wow! I never even knew there could be so many different styles! As much as I hate to admit it, mine is dead on too!

Ok, so I think I need to take the test again. I like classic pieces yes, but I also LOVE color and pattern and funky. The “old-Hollywood romance” is so NOt me. Plus, it said my go to colors were all shades of yellow. Maybe as an accent but no thanks. However, maybe the quiz knows something I don’t. I’ll remain open. Here’s what it said about me:

I’m not sure that’s entirely accurate for me – part of it is, but I still like to jazz things up with modern pieces, too. I don’t like things to be overly one style, you know?
This was GREAT FUN! {which I admit was a very pleasant surprise!} When I first read *Country Classic* I thought uh-uh… COUNTRY?!?! But then as I read the description I had an OMG moment… yep! That’s me! LOVE the Happy Home Colors they provided.
Mandi – once again you RULE girl!

Yay it’s fixed! Now I’m not sure that I am “country” but the description below is pretty spot on. How did they get that after asking only 10 questions?!

Here is my post!

My Result of the Quiz is:
Your Style Design is:
Polished Casual
You love to mix and match your favorites from several styles, so Polished Casual is the best way to describe your look. Crisp, fresh, and always comfortable, this approach anchors itself in neutral, subtle hues and furniture that isn’t fussy but isn’t slouchy either. Pair your clean-lined sofa with a dark leather wing chair or a weathered metal table—anything goes, but simplicity is key.
I thibnk it is totally true!
Nailed it! Elegant Classic. They are looking into my soul.
Shinay, you are an Elegant Classic
You have a refined sensibility with an appreciation for history and tradition in your furniture and your rooms. You value beauty, things that are well crafted, and family heirlooms. You are visually sensitive and understand how symmetry and a formal layout give order to a room, and hence your home is refined and calming. You are not taken in by the trends of the moment. You go for things with a timeless appeal, and appreciate old-fashioned virtues like manners and handwritten notes and making a home that is welcoming for others.
You value comfort. Your home is a warm and open friendly place, and you feel happiest when everyone is cared for and relaxed in your space. Heather, you are an Elegant Modern
You keep up with culture, style, and trends, but have a classical appreciation for beautiful forms, simple lines, and well-made functional objects. You are inspired by good design and quality craftsmanship, and prefer the streamlined and a bit of breathing room to the overly embellished or cluttered. Yet your home is warm and a bit glamorous, not cold or cookie-cutter modern. You like mixing in a bit of flourish: beautiful antiques, luxurious fabrics, cozy throws, and some lovely accessories that add up to a refined, inviting, well-designed home.

Hmm, that mostly sounds like me, but I definitely don’t consider myself or my home as “elegant” or ‘glamorous”. Haha!
somehow, i cant link my post, my blog is http://www.wheatpennyvintage.com
thanks for starting this!
Thanks, Mandi, for posting this quiz! I think it captured my design spirit, as well. One thing, though, the questions did not allow for the funky/rusty/salvage part of me that is emerging! Oh, well, I guess that could be considered “classic” too!
Jane, You Are An ELEGANT CLASSIC
You have a refined sensibility with an appreciation for history and tradition in your furniture and your rooms. You value beauty, things that are well crafted, and family heirlooms. You are visually sensitive and understand how symmetry and a formal layout give order to a room, and hence your home is refined and calming. You are not taken in by the trends of the moment. I didn’t see a place to link up so here is my post. I’m a Country Classic
https://sturdydesign.wordpress.com/2012/04/13/im-a-little-bit-country-ish/
I’m country classic! It sort of scared me. But it is so true. I am going to OWN it!!!!
https://savannasoapbox.blogspot.com/2012/04/country-classic.html
Bryndee, you are a Country Eclectic
You have a natural sense of drama, and you know you have to be willing to take risks—whether with colors, finishes, furniture choices, or ideas—for your home to stand out. This was SO ACCURATE! I loved it!
I’m Bohemian Casual, which I think is pretty accurate. I posted about it on my blog,
https://blue11interiors.blogspot.com/2012/04/challenge.html
thanks. quiz confirmed i am casual country and the colors were right on. Nice to get confirmation one is on the right track.
I got Global Modern, which I think is very accurate. I think I have a appreciation for other cultures (British fanatic), and I can’t stand clutter. Just ask my sis. 🙂 Thanks for alerting me about this great quiz, Mandi!
I got a Country Casual – sounds right! 🙂
1. Thank you SO much for your clarification of what should be linked. It was a bummer clicking on link to see nothing relating to your FFA club.
2. This was so dead on! You are right, they are looking in our windows for sure. 😉 Here’s the link to my post.
https://craftytexanstidbits.blogspot.com/2012/04/defining-your-style-ffa-2.html
I am BOHEMIAN CASUAL. This struck me as a weird way to describe my style because when I think of bohemian I think of African and Asian inspired decor, which is not really me. But I guess I just have the wrong definition of bohemian in my head because the description under the “title” was totally me. I’m so glad you shared this because it’s always fun to learn more about decorating, especially when it’s customized to YOU as a person. 🙂
I got Global Modern and it fits me very well! I’m a toss up between mid-century modern and buying everything I see at Cost Plus World Market. 😉 I don’t care for the colors. I’m not much of a yellow girl. I do like the saffron color they had. I prefer bold color over buttery. 🙂
I had to do this twice – just too many go-between answers. I ended up being Elegant Classic and Country Classic, so I guess classic is the best way to describe me! I was blown away at how bang on the overall summaries fit for me in both cases. My happy home colours came up both times with the variations of reds… so I guess my mother-in-law was right. I should’ve spray-painted my ReStore chandelier red instead of black!
Here’s mine:

Tracy, you are a Bohemian Casual
However, I’m going to take it again with some different answers.. you know those answers I wish I could have put but couldn’t quite do it. I can’t wait until I move so I can really decorate!!!

Yep. Pretty much is me. I love old pieces with new modern. I have calm and soothing coloring (gray and teal) with rich wood pieces and splashes of bold colors (sunny yellow and bright pink). I love it!
However, I do need to work on some of my storage issues to keep my clutter from going out of control but its well on its way. Can’t wait to feel more relaxed after this part is complete 🙂
Goodness, you’re right- that is freaky how spot-on this quiz is! Or is it that we’re all not as unique as we think? 🙂
I’m Country Classic, which just confirmed what I’ve always known. This was fun, thanks for sharing it!
I can’t believe how spot on this is! Absolutely perfect!
Jennifer, You Are A COUNTRY CLASSIC
You have a naturally refined sensibility with an appreciation for tradition and history. You value beauty, craftsmanship, and family heirlooms, but you like to open things up with pretty, easy-going pieces like painted wood or distressed furniture, lovely florals and other patterns, and bunches of fresh flowers that give your home a breezy, relaxed feeling. You love unique finds, have a thrifty, creative side, and can make these things work together.
You value order. You feel happiest if your home is well organized. You understand that when your house is in order, your mind feels clearer. Thanks Mandi!
I got EARTHY MODERN, and while I agree with the modern bit, I am not too sure about Earthy since the colors they provided didn’t really suite me (I usually go for bright and bold rather than earthy and subdued). Fun to take either way though!
I’m Bohemian Electic
I blogged about it and Challenge number 1 here (I’m a little behind had a crazy life i’m sure you can relate)

The first part seems to be that same as other Bohemian electics it differs a little

I’m a global modern. Perfect match! I wasn’t a fan of the yellow color palette they suggested though.
I got earthy casual. I wouldn’t say it was dead-on, but the majority of it was. I posted about it https://attheendofmyrainbow.blogspot.com/2012/04/i-am-earthy-casual.html
Boy, it took me ages to get the website to work! But it finally did and I got earthy casual. Pretty amazing how the description said basically exactly what I shared in my first post about how I wanted my house to feel! I blogged about it here: https://hollidaisycreates.blogspot.com/2012/04/defining-your-style.html
Ok, this quiz is insane! I’ve taken dozens before and they are usually so wrong. But this one was spot on!!!!! Even the colors are EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE IN MY APARTMENT. Seriously. To the “T”.
Lindsay, You Are A GLAMOROUS CLASSIC
You have a refined sensibility with an appreciation for history and tradition in your furniture and your rooms. You value beauty and craftsmanship.

Thank you for having us take the quiz. What fun! It is spot on and now I know. I am going to take their ideas and run with it.
DI had some great chairs. I was loading up a storage building so I did not purchase them but I did get an exercise machine, now where to put that??? Love the town square in St. George. We plan to go back in a month or so and spend a couple of days to see all the sites (my hubby needs the tourist thing), looking forward to your beautiful, quaint town with all the original building, mountains and history. It is such a pretty place to live.
Love vintage/retro? Chcekout our site at http://www.rapidtell.com. Thx.

Ashlee, you are a Bohemian Classic

But you like to shake up this restraint with objects and accessories that express your personality and your love of other cultures. When traveling, you seek out unique objects that reflect what you love, and you use them in a sophisticated way. This is SO me. I love quirky bits in my decor and my house is riddle with junktiques that I collected on my travels, or look as though I collected them on my travels–even if I found them at the Salvation Army, or a garage sale– No, I am not above claiming others’ souvenirs as my own. And as always, cozy is KING!
Mine was about 85% on…I’m not so much into the glimmering, lady-like stuff, but I loooove creativity, craftsmanship and a whole lot of history. 🙂

You’re interested in creating a welcoming home where people feel comfortable and happiness flourishes. Pretty much everything this said is true. But, in reading some of the others, that applies too. I’m clearly a hot mess. Is there a category for that? lol
Jennifer, you are a Glamorous Classic
You have a refined sensibility with an appreciation for history and tradition in your furniture and your rooms. You value beauty and craftsmanship. You value serenity. While there are probably a lot of interesting things in your home, they are joined by your taste or a certain palette that keeps them in harmony. You appreciate the beauty in simple forms. Whether fancy or plain, you appreciate things that are well made and function as well as they look. You also have a strong respect for the environment and craftsmanship. You care about how things are made, and how they are used.
I loved this quiz, but it confirmed something I already suspected. I am like 3 different styles. ie. I don’t have a style. I just like them all. However, I did think it was interesting that all three times I took it I had the same “happy colors” and it also pointed out that the first thing I notice about a place is the smell. That is so true!!! The first style it pegged me as was country classic. And then earthy classic. And then bohemian something or other. I am right now in the process of moving to a new house. Which means a blank slate which means I need to pick a style!!!
I am a Bohemian Casual. I think it’s pretty accurate actually – especially that part about organizing the front hall! Oh, if only my front hall could stay organized I would be a happy gal.
It was dead on!

Mine was Country Classic. Based on the name alone I didn’t think it was me but I see myself in some of the description.
Hey! I’m late, we went on Spring Break {yay!}, but better late than never!
https://mountainmagpie.blogspot.com/2012/04/ffa-2-defining-my-style.html
What a fun quiz, no to mention, I love Home Goods as well! I’m a “Classic Modern” and it suits me perfectly. I’m wildly eclectic having vintage mixed with new, loads of colour. I wait ages before I find quality pieces to suit my aesthetic, but can also be impulsive when I want something with zing! Love the part about humour, I do try to inject it where I can — for example my living room drapes are a vintage pattern of Picasso posters from various exhibits around the world. Very colorful, and quirky and people either love them once the realise what the design is, or see only the wild mix of colours and hate them immediately. (I actually loved them so much that they came out of the guest room into the living room which I designed around them!) For more humour, I’m hoping one day to add the Phillipe Starke gnome tables and one of his mushrooms! (If I can ever find the room…) XXX Suzanne
Hey Mandi! Loved participating in this challenge! I also love the kick in the pants it has been for me to try and bring my sad little blog out of its current obscurity. I do need to buy a new camera though (before I can honestly start posting anything truly noteworthy)! But, I did post my results to this quiz. I am diagnosed as an Elegant Classic which sounds FARRRR better than what my house actually looks like:) Fun stuff! I didn’t see a way to link up, so I guess this is it!
FREAKISHLY ACCURATE!!!
& SO much fun!

What the heck is a bohemian classic?? I guess that’s me. I’m always kind of ethnic and eclectic. Thanks for sharing this quiz.
I was Country Eclectic. I mean, I am country eclectic. My jaw literally dropped open when I saw that. Suuuper crazy how spot on it was.
I’m not usually that into quizzes like this because most of them give generic results that don’t really tell me anything specific about myself.
But as most of the 100+ comments above me affirm, this sucker was SPOT ON.
I’m Bohemian Eclectic and proud of it!
I’m a Bohemian Classic! My colors are golds, oranges, and yellows. Which is funny because I don’t have a single spot of those colors in my home ha!
I’m a global casual! My colors are apparently in the yellow family, which is so different from the turquoise and neutral tones I usually gravitate towards. Overall, it’s description was incredibly suitable though! I have lots of one of a kind pieces I really love. Trying to tie my marble based, brass golden retriever staring at a murano glass sphere tv lamp with, well almost anything, is a real challenge! So, he hides on my night stand. I think it’s time to introduce him to my guests. I will just need to tie the rest of the room together so I don’t look completely insane.

2. Your Happy Place Think of your outdoor space, no matter how small, as rooms, and create distinct areas. A pair of chaises flanking a little side table makes a living room. A lantern hanging from a tree or pergola over a table and chairs makes a dining room. A cluster of potted plants on a patio can create a cozy nook, and a single urn or bench placed at the far end can draw your eye, making a space seem longer. Big lanterns with candles sitting on the ground create a sense of space and give beautiful light. Try out new ideas before you start shopping by taking a photo of your area and laying some tracing paper over the print to draw whatever you’re planning first.
