holy smokes. how did I miss these befores. crap. not tastic. just crap. and the afters wehoeee. can’t believe it’s the same house. serious. I had to totally do a side by side view comparision.
We fell in love with a not so perfect house too! And have been slowly but surely making it our own. https://craftinanortherntown.blogspot.com/2011/01/befores-finally.html
After seeing your room I can’t wait to see what you’ve done to the rest of your house. So excited. 🙂
Love these photos, definitely takes a creative eye to fall in love with somewhere like that.
We moved in, in Apr 2011 and out kitchen was abismal, we had white crusty MDF cabinets from the 70’s, the kitchen was painted a baby vomit orange (the rest of the house was either Putty, Baby Vomit or Midnight blue. As we removed wall mounted stuff behind it was lumps of dog hair!, the kitchen counters had been DIY’d, like sand and tar poured over chipboard then varnish poured on top, it wasn’t even flat and it was so rough you could grate cheese on it! We’ve since reno’d the kitchen but we keep a little of the counter top to remind us how bad it was!
