For the first time in my whole life I am joining the One Room Challenge! I’ve followed and watched amazing rooms transform for years and finally pulled the trigger on participating! If you are new to the ORC, let me give you the 411!
The One Room Challenge is a twice a year event where 15 or so bloggers take on the challenge of overhauling a space in their home in 6 weeks. If I am being completely honest, you guys have seen the pace that we work- 6 weeks is a lifetime in our world, but I need to get back in the habit of sharing tutorials and info for the spaces that we’re overhauling (still suffering from a little bit of Merc PTSD) and this is kind of the perfect solution! So get excited because we are getting back to our roots!
It’s no secret that I love doing kids rooms, they make my heart just so so happy because they can be extra creative and whimsical, so for the ORC I am overhauling my sister’s nursery!!
After struggling with infertility for a few years, my sister Miranda had the sweetest little nugget named Finn. She is the happiest and cutest baby in the entire world and my heart just cant take her.
We are turning a spare bedroom that is used for storage into little Finn’s nursery and it’s going to be SO CUTE!! I’m sharing these pictures so that if you’ve got a room like this kicking around you are not alone! This is real life folks!! We’re going a little boho, a little traditional, and a lot exciting. If you’ve got a little girl in your life you are going to be bombarded with ideas for a fun room.

Is it just me or is it hard to believe this is the first time you are doing the ORC? Could’ve sworn you were a featured designer in the past. So looking forward to this lucky kid’s nursery reveal!

I have a space that looks just like this right now. Heck, it’s looked like that for 6 years now, haha. I love the traditional with a little boho vibe. Can’t wait to see the finished space!
