You know that there is something good in store when my hands look like this:
p.s yes I am aware that I have veiny hands, no I am not 65. They have always been like that. Donβt judge, I cant be 100% perfect. Gosh cut a girl some slack.
Oh, and my arm looked like this until I washed it off to go and get pizza.
Anyways back to the project.
Lets just say that it involves something amazing from these guys:
In this room:
And my lips are sealed. Unless you follow me on Twitter, I have been known to share pics over thereβ¦
Oh oh oh! And let me know how you are feeling about stencils, and questions or concerns or issues you have so that I can make sure to include the info in my post!
Also for everyone that was wondering about the Test post yesterday, I was having issues uploading posts from Windows Live Writer and so I did that one to see if it went through. And then I wasnβt on the computer for 1/2 the day so I didnβt know it posted. So for everyone that commented you get an A! Congrats, your Mommas will be so proud!!
And donβt forget about this! Even if you are nervous to come I promise you will NOT regret it if you do!!
Ohhhh, the anticipation!! Can’t wait to pop this baby out so I can get covered in paint again, too π
Can’t wait to see what you’ve got up your sleeve!
Krylon Navy. yummmmmmm.
looks fun! I have SUPER veiny hands too. I turn to super creepy veiny hands and arm lady when I’m pregnant (good thing that’s not everyday).
Oh, I can’t wait to see what the queen of all super cool things is up too.
Oooh I can’t wait to see! I am getting ready to stencil a design on the top of my coffee and side tables so any tips you can share would be great!
btw I have veiny hands too- nurses always love me for it. Any time I’ve had to have an iv, or give blood or something, they always gush about my great veins while they’re sticking me. I guess not everyone gives them such an easy target to hit. π
Hehe, love seeing the paint-covered hands! That is how they always know at work when I have home-projects going on.
What is your record for number of colors on your hands/arms at once?
Looking forward to seeing it!
Hey Mandi! First time commenting on your blog π I have a question about stenciling… When I use the elmers spray adhesive, I always end up getting a build-up on the back of the stencil. This makes the pattern a bit less than perfect towards the end. Any suggestions? Love your blog!
Very interesting indeed. Love the suspense and it always ensures that we will be back for part two, three and however many there are. I guess it looks like something is going to be blue??? About the veiny hands – good people have veiny hands like you and like me.
Me again – you know I recently came across a fab painting tool – like your own easy to manage spray brush thingy. Do-it-yourself spray painting of your walls or whatever. I really get so put off painting by the PT that one has to go through trying to get clean again. If u want to know the brand, feel free to contact me.
Hmm are we stenciling the ceiling!!
i have my mother’s hands! wrinkly, veiny, and large! i have always hated my hands! but, i think we are harder on ourselves than others would be. most people tell me i have nice hands. (i don’t believe them)! anyway….your hands are beautiful! believe me! π
So excited to see your project.
I want to stencil a wall in my living room but I’m pretty much afraid to. I don’t have a fancy shmancy silhouette so I don’t even know where to begin making a stencil or the tools needed to start. Any info would be helpful! Since you’re the queen.
BTW, I showed my husband your blog the other day to show him an idea for our living room & he loved your “seizure wall”. I told him that was the before picture and that it doesn’t look like that anymore and he said “why? that’s awesome, we should do that!” So I guess he’s on board with the stenciling too!!! π
Looks like my hands that I just posted on my blog! Come on by and check out my blog! TFS
It’s been, like, forever since Friday! I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!
I. LOVE. STENCILS. I stenciled a wall in my living room. I get so many compliments about it. It takes some patience and I realized half way through that my stencil was crooked so I had to start using a level. It looks great. Can’t wait to see your room!
i just bought a stencil from those people.. how much you wanna bet we got the same one, or that you got one of the other ones that i have been dreaming about since i got their catalog… can’t wait to see!
