Hey guys!!
So as I’ve been trying to figure out how to keep you updated on the real time progress of the Merc, I’ve been playing around with a few ideas, let me know what you think! Things are moving really really fast and I feel like I’m scrambling to keep up with the posts, plus throwing video in a whole new ballgame, THANK YOU for being so patient with me as I fumble through and try to wrap my head around what the best approach is. One idea that I had was to do a Thursday walk through. Every Thursday I can share what the Merc looks like this week, sort of an overview, and then dive into the more detailed posts and videos. The crazy thing is, I shot this video first thing Monday morning and had to run errands, when I made it back to do pictures later that day SO MUCH had already changed!! So, those of you that are saying you’re missing the regular posting and don’t love videos, I hear you, the next one will have pictures to go in the post, and the video for those that want an actual walk through. (You can see our first walk through here!)
YOU GUYS ARE THE FREAKING BEST. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following along and caring about the Merc as much as we do!! I’m off to make sure that the wall they’re putting on today is right!!

I LOVE these updates and I’m following along faithfully, but I still don’t understand the phasing of the project! Can you share more about that?
Love the walk through videos and seeing how everything is changing so fast!! But I think I need to go back and find a floor plan to refresh my memory of the layout, got a bit turned around in all the hallways. Also love the videos of you and court as well, very entertaining lol

I much prefer the videos with you and Court talking about the process and providing context. The walk through videos (and so sorry, but that music!) aren’t my favorite. I would much rather have your commentary and stories with either the videos (narrated) or photos. The wall-throughs are missing your personality. K, so now I sound demanding and hard to please. Keep up the great work! Love your blog!
I liked the previous format more – the Merc Reno episode “XX” made it easy to follow along in order, rather than posting it by date, or made it easy for someone tuning in to catch up! I understand wanting to catch up in real time, but I find the personal part of the renovation way more interesting than an update on dry wall & insulation. I loved seeing the interaction between you and Court! Keep up the good work, I’m excited to see what comes next!
I loved the original videos you were doing together describing what was going on. I’m sure they’re a little more time-consuming to make, but I’d rather see one of those bi-weekly instead of a weekly tour video. Then you could a post or two on the off week.
