Oh my gosh you guys, I am OBSESSSSED. A few months ago I stumbled upon the world of colored appliances. Now. I know what you might be picturing…
These are nothing along the lines of that tragedy.
Soak in some of this goodness:
One day I fell down the rabbit hole, as one does on the internet, and sourced colored appliances (hey, a girl can dream!) From what I’ve learned, none are as versatile as Big Chill. So here is why they are special. I love that they dont have just one style of gas stove or fridge. They have a Pro line (more modern), a Retro line, and a Classic line (you’ll LOVE this one if you’ve been lusting after a La Cornue but choke when you see the price)
As if having a whole array of styles isnt enough, they also have over 200 colors that you can choose from. TWO HUNDRED.
I dont care how, come hell or high water these are going to be part of my life.
I’m dying to know, if you could have a stove in any color of the rainbow, what would it be?!
Gah, that last image of the green oven is so great. I would take that in a heart beat. Also, just one reader’s opinion, but it is so nice that there are not ads in the body of the post like there have been in so many of your posts lately. It was making me consider not reading anymore as it is so distracting, especially when I am reading on my phone. I end up clicking on the ad in my attempts of scrolling down. I hope the posts continue to have ads elsewhere on the site instead of in the body of the post!
Hey ladies! Thanks so much for the feedback! We did take them out on desktop and reduced the # on mobile (they can’t completely go away on mobile because there is no where else to put them). Its hard finding a balance between keeping things pretty and running a business where ads are a chunk of the income. We did a massive scale back about a month and 1/2 ago so hopefully that has helped! The reason you are seeing ads in post on so many sites is because advertisers want things seen and people are sort of numb to the sidebar. I always take feedback into account so I super appreciate yours!

Ditto LRC. I love the colored appliances. I just worry a bit if they, too, will be passe’ to soon….harvest gold, avocado, etc.
I hate those damn ads in the middle of a post. Everyone is doing that now it seems. Not only bloggers, but most other sites. I’ll be one to tune out, not in. I love you to pieces so maybe you could do something ’bout this situation on your site.
We ordered the last stove pictured but in a cobalt blue. The prices on these made-to-order stoves are right on point, but they are very popular right now and are at their max production timeline, so alas, we are living in a stove-less kitchen for 1 more week! I so wish I could comment my kitchen with the stove installed!! (Maybe next week!) Also good to know, they are warranteed by Blue Star (another colorful appliance line albeit more expensive). Thanks for your post!!!!!
Oh that is so good to know JoAnne! Will you update us with pictures when you get it in?!

The fridge in our apartment right now matches that ancient yellow kitchen perfectly! Think they would want to trade so they have a complete set?? 😉 Lately I am really loving dark greens. I think that a white marble kitchen with gold hardware and dark green appliances would be [heart eyes}!!
Love that green stove too! A kitchen with the white & light gray marbling counter tops and that green stove would be awesome! A girl can dream my kitchen is stuck in between that first picture the 70s with a couple of black and stainless steel appliances….lol
I hate to even ask, but I cannot find the apartment therapy post that contains that first blue stove. I’m desperate to know who makes it! I keep googling variations of navy blue/dark blue/cobalt blue gas stove/range/oven and not coming up with anything that looks like the photo! The link only directs to apartment therapy’s main page 🙁
In general, I have really warmed to the idea of a color stove in the last six months. I’ll be going through a major kitchen reno and floorplan change in the next 6 months, and I think a colored appliance is a great way to inject some freshness.
I also am a lover of colored appliances and did some research on Big Chill a bit ago, and I really don’t like that for the price you’re getting a cheap/bottom of the line appliance, just with the shell replaced. There are also a ton of horror stories about their customer service which is not exactly appealing either. If you do work with them at some point, I would love a review that discusses not just the appearance but the quality of the appliance itself
I like the white/green combination here. Looks so refreshing!
Lovely appliances. But oh.my.
Prices. Ouch!
I’m considering having a refrigerator painted at the auto body shop.
I know someone who did this and it was beautiful.
Any thoughts?
I live in Florida, nowhere near the beach! I wish! But I try to create a beachy feel by sticking with crisp whites and a lot of teals, blues and aquas from light to dark it a least makes me feel like I am closer to the ocean and creates a cooler “state of mind” cause the summer months get unbearably hot! So I would Love a light aqua or teal stove or frig!
