After years of regrettable plant killing mistakes, I finally feel like I’ve learned enough to keep them alive (the obvious reward for this situation is to buy more plants!!). Which means…(you know what this means right?) I need more planters. Its like the gift that just keeps on giving.
I have the most beginner DIY friendly for those that are itching to use some power tools but aren’t ready to build anything massive yet. (Or if you don’t have tools, this is such a quick job I’m sure you can bribe your neighbor with cookies and they’ll totally do it for you) Its kind of one of those projects that you cant screw up.

I’ve went back to my first love; philedendrons. ♥
I’ve been able to keep an Aloe Vera plant alive for almost 3 years now! I got it from IKEA and convinced it’s a miracle plant.
I recently purchased a Pitcher Plant from Home Depot, and I love it! It’s definitely a conversation starter…especially when we tell guests that every once in a while we will “feed” it:)
Ferns. ALL THE FERNS. I have tons! Watering them is my children’s ‘chore’ so they all have names. 🙂
I have always loved jade plants but right now want to surround myself with any succulent I can get my hands on.
For inside the fiddle fig which I can water once every 2 weeks and ignore the rest of the time. For outside peonies shrubs. I LOVE them.

Such a fun quick project! Perfect because I am totally in the mood for making some cute and cheerful plant holders. My current FAV houseplant is the Macho Fern (and always love me some African violets). Just picked up both at the local HD! 🙂 I am so making a rift on your brass rod light fixture you made for the Nugget and making an awesome brass plant holder. We have a bunch of wooden dowels sitting around since we just finished DIYing our master bedroom closet so totally adding this to the list too!
My favorite outdoor plant has to be the fuchsia. Because I do a lot of sewing, I love watching them open up. Each blossom looks like a tiny fabric flower. Inside, I like all houseplants since I’m alergic to many chemicals – they keep the air cleaner.
Right now I am loving airplants! Thanks for the giveaway.
I’m a serial plant killer! I love succulents but kill those too.
Yes, I’m old fashioned, but I LOVE roses…finally scored with a hedge of Knock-Out roses that I’ve managed to keep alive. So…that’s my favorite OUTDOOR plant :). Indoors, give me succulents anyday! They would be lovely in this DIY!
I have a rex begonia that I absolutely love. It’s purple color is beautiful. I haven’t been able to find a string of pearls anywhere 🙁

My favorite plant right now is my Elephant Ear!! It’s a large bulb and as each of the leaves “sprout” they get bigger!! So fun to watch it grow and very easy care. I just give her a drink once a week and a misty shower with a spray bottle in between. LOVE IT!!!! The only drawback is that they do require space as they are a large tropical. Living in the Southwest I’m lucky enough to have mine in a large pot on my patio.
I have always been a plant killer in years prior, but this year is different, thankfully. I am pregnant for the first time and nesting has fully kicked in. My new favorite is the geraniums in my hanging planters. Would love the HD giftcard to outfit the baby’s room and our patio! Thanks for the giveaway opp!

Orchid plants are beautiful. Now if only I could keep one alive longer than six months…
Working on outdoor landscaping and loving ornamental grasses right now. The (huge) pampas grass I’d my current favorite!
Any flowering plant! 🙂
I’ve managed to keep a silvery green pothos plant alive for a while—apparently it loves being neglected.

I love orchids. They last a long time and I don’t kill them right away.
I love Cosmos – such a happy flower to see in one’s garden.
My love of plants runs deep and my love of DIY & upcylcing is often inspired by turning unusual things into planters. Succulents are the best especially for anyone who has not had good luck with traditional house plants. Plus they come in so many different and interesting varieties. The string of pearls looks gorgeous in your DIY planter! Keep doing what you do! Thanks for the giveaway too! <3 Home Depot!
Indoors, anything I can keep alive is good. Last year outdoors, I fell in love with my hanging fuchsia plant. Thank you for the opportunity!
Anything I can keep alive is good! We do a lot of gardening outdoors in the summer and enjoy flowering perennials.
Oh. I love your sweet little string of pearls plant and your plant hanger is so clean and natural looking, a perfect complement to a gorgeous green plant. Years ago, I had an impressive string of pearls hanging plant, I was so proud of her and she was very proud of herself! When we were moving into our current home, I heard a crash, ran upstairs and saw the remains of my pot with and her lovely pearls. I tried to nurse her back to health, but it was not to be. Yours make me remember how much I loved mine!
If I had to pick my very favorite hanging plant, It would be a difficult choice…a grape ivy or a bridal veil. I guess I might have to choose the grape ivy as the bridal veil does tend to make a mess of herself thowing her excess “lace” to the floor rather frequently. Fun post, fun giveaway.
I just got a dragon tree which I am really enjoying.
I love any type of succulent. Bonus, it’s really hard to kill a succulent!
Bleeding Hearts are my absolute favorite!
I love the smell and looks of lilacs!!

Love the Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) … 🙂
cute plant! I have a fern on my porch, but was at a garden center today and found a Twister Corkscrew Rush. It was quite charming!
I agree about the string of pearls but I’m never very good at keeping them growing, I don’t know if the air is too dry in Colo.?
String of pearls is RAD! I like it. My favorites are everything; especially plants that are tough and can go weeks without water (succulents like the MIL tongue, etc and of course cactus) Thanks for the giveaway.
P.S. I am still so excited and grateful for the GE Reveal/Home Depot giveaway that I won on your blog last month. How long should I expect before I receive the package? I emailed my address like you told me to! Thank you so much! I can’t wait to get started on major projects!
I’m a fan of marigolds. They remind me of my grandma and the farm where I grew up. 🙂
I love my jade plants! I have them inside and out and they are so cute 🙂
My fiance and I just bought our house this winter so this is our first summer figuring out landscaping. I don’t know a lot about plants just yet, but I’m sure I’ll be learning a lot this summer! I definitely love any kind of plant that is non-toxic to dogs.
My current flavor flower, though? King proteas. Definitely want to attempt to find a way to include those in our landscaping plans.
I love edible plants! I’m hoping to grow our tiny container vegetable garden this summer! I also love me some beautiful flowers, like poppies!
For inside: I love ferns, ivy or aloe vera. I’m not familiar with string of pearls but its a beautiful plant I need to look into more. For outside: I love peony, hibiscus, rose and most any other flowering plants. I love to be able to cut flowers to bring inside.
I love Maidenhair ferns!
I like “Climbing Aloe Vera” or at least it’s what I think it’s called. I really want another one, but I killed my last one, so I’m not sure I should have another one.

I like pink roses and gardenias
I have a weak spot for Orchids. It was touch and go for a while, and due to their delicate nature I did lose a few, but I’m starting to get the hang of them, and even managed to bring a couple back to life from the brink of death 😉

Everyone thinks they are so hard to deal with, when in reality, all they want is to be left alone. The blooms are gorgeous and last for weeks. Need any other advice or helpful hints on orchids, email me. I don’t have a blog, but i love to write and talk, lol!
Lately, I’ve been going through a succulent phase so I would say an Echeveria Subsessilis. Being easy to care for with a lovely shade of blue, I captures my heart as a personal favorite!
Snake plant!
