That it is almost my BIRTHDAY!!??!

Yeppers its true. In just a couple of days!

p.s. I always wanted a Barbie Doll Cake.

Anyways I am going to be the big 2-8 which feels really o-l-d.

This last year has been a whirlwind to say the least.

One year ago I didn’t even know that DIY décor blogs existed. I had never spray painted anything. My house looked not awesome at all cause I thought that I had to pay $1000’s for black slightly distressed furniture that everyone else had and I couldn’t afford.

I thought that my husband was never going to get sober (you can see all about that here)

I had more pics of my kids than of my house (which is going to change back BTW)

I never thought I would EVER do anything awesome like The Nate Show and Studio 5.

I have learned so much about myself,  and I hope that I can live to look like this:

Hopefully that wont be in 4 years……

I am not really a great goal setter over the long term. I am slightly disorganized and unfortunately function really quite well at the last minute. I am always busy so that is how most things end up around here…

It has started to make me a little batty.

So this year I am going to really put a lot of effort into being more organized. Doing the things that need to be done (like laundry…yuck)and be a better mom (ahhh, cant forget to throw a sprinkle of mom guilt in there!)

I am going to work harder on being closer to my Savior,

Do the things that show Court that I love him (back to laundry),

And be less frazzled.

I would love for my blog to turn into something even more amazing.

I would love to make more awesome friends and just continue to feel grateful and blessed.

  4. Happy Almost Birthday! I’m turning 29 this year… EEK – almost at that 3-0 number…. but it’s all good!

    If you were in VT I would totally make you a Barbie cake. We made one for my daughter’s 5th day, so now I’m like an expert (or something).

    You’re awesome and your blog will continue to be awesome (or even get awesom-er) for sure!

  27. y’know… I make a ROCKin’ Barbie Cake…

    and… given that I recognized that student store from my PTA days I can guarantee that we’re in the same general area of town…

    probably the same stake – I could check but that would probably not be a “proper use” of the stake directory ‘eh?

    and I’m not telling how old I am… because that makes look like the OLD lady of this crowd… technically we can just call it “thirty-something”… at least for a little while still
