HOLY. We survived!! A complete kitchen renovation (including wall removal and construction!) in 10 days. I’ve never been more elated to share a project with you guys! We partnered with Samsung to launch their latest appliance color Tuscan Stainless Steel and overhauled the kitchen at our family cabin. Are you ready to see how it turned out!? (You can read all where we started here!)
Technically this is where we started when we bought the cabin 5 years ago.

This year’s deserving nonprofit is one that is making a huge difference in the lives of teenagers in Southern Utah. Youth Futures is a homeless shelter just for teenagers ages 12 to 17. They offer everything from a place to live, to drop in services like laundry, and provide food and clothing. They recently acquired an old dentist office next to the house for intake, counseling, and admin offices and that is where we worked the Vintage Revivals magic!!

We are kicking off the summer with a whirlwind kitchen renovation, are you ready to follow along every step of the way?!! We’ve partnered with Samsung to show off their newest Tuscan Stainless appliances and it is one for the history books!!
Court’s family has a cabin in the mountains just north of the Merc and it has been our escape from the heat of the Southern Utah summer for the last few years. It is our FAVORITE place to hang out as an extended family and can get pretty crazy when everyone is there. When we bought it a few years ago it was exactly what you’d expect from a cabin built in the late 90’s. Oak builder grade grossness with appliances that have surely seen better days. We did a quick paint job on the cabinets and changed out the flooring when we added on last year but it still needs some serious TLC.

I got the most interesting comment on Instagram this week while I was in the midst of installing pavers. The comment said “Surely you make enough money to hire this job out!” I dont know if it’s because I had time to chew on it while I was working, or if this feeling has been bubbling just under the surface for a while, but I want to share with you guys why we still DIY.

Hey hey!! Oh my gosh, can we have a heart to heart? Ok good.
You know when you start a project only to find out that it needs WAY more attention/work/money/time/marriage favors than you originally thought!? That is what we’re going through right now!!
We’ve partnered with our favorite store in all the land The Home Depot and Pavestone on an outdoor paver project. I mean, we have SO MANY AREAS that need so much work, it was the perfect overhaul.
This is what the space looked like just a few weeks ago before everything turned green. The old pavers were a hodge podge. Uneven and mismatched. (The Merc is the building with the mural on it)
