So many amazing things on the internet this week!!
|| ONE || Jamie (my right hand gal) created a really fun tutorial for the secret project in this week’s newsletter. So. Here is the deal, I am going to give you the link, and if you love it, then you should wholeheartedly consider signing up because she brings this kind of magic into your life every Friday morning!
|| TWO || In the comments on yesterday’s bare all post, one reader (thanks Adriana!) recommended this TED talk by Eat Pray Love author Elizabeth Gilbert. It is wonderful listen for everyone who feels like they are creative and struggling, or creative and just had a massive success. Or you know, just creative.
|| THREE || I get asked pretty frequently about the little crystal skull planter that is in Macie’s Bedroom. It is sort of one of those unicorn pieces that I found at Homegoods (strike one) during Halloween (strike two) on clearance (strike 3). So the chances of you guys finding one is slim. I saw these skull shot glasses on clearance at UO yesterday while rug shopping and thought I would share! (affiliate link)
|| FOUR || Do you read Monsters Circus? It is FULL of inventive DIY’s and oh so inspiring. I could do an entire post just on her awesome ideas. This floating vase project is beautiful.
|| FIVE || These are on our to do list this weekend… Thanks Joy, thanks a lot.
Omg, I am so happy to see my friend and fellow Date Mette from Monsterscircus over here. She is so amazing and I love all she does!!! Monster talent.
Date=Dane Don’t want to be starting any rumors now…
So honoured to be featured among such great projects! Thank you SO much Mandi you’re true marvel with a talent beyond imagination! Thank you Katja for your incredible kind words, you’re so unbelievable crafty and creative too – ah date? Won’t mind heaps of creative dates with you! Have a great week ladies!
That skull is mega cool. If you’re a vodka drinker or know someone who is they have this really silly brand called Crystal Head Vodka that comes in a skull that you could probably DIY using that acetone string ice water method to remove the bottle neck at the top. It’s probably not the cheapest DIY though because I think the bottles are pretty spensy. (https://crystalheadvodka.com/home) Maybe you could find one recycled? I don’t even know.
Not to promote any drinking habits, but there is a vodka that comes in a glass skull bottle. 😉
For those non-vodka drinkers ;), West Elm has crystal skull heads right now.

Today I walked past a liquor store and saw that there is a Vodka brand that sells their booz in a glass skull! So if anyone wants one, all you need to do is order one (found some links on the Hunt here: https://www.thehunt.com/the-hunt/8D32Vt-skull-vodka ) and have a little party!
Olé, girl!
Hi!
I just want to let you know that homegoods has the crystal skull planters back! I bought one a few days ago and I’m thinking about going back to get another…..they’re in the Halloween section… 🙂
Hey! I was on Urban Outfitters looking through the apartment sale things, and I found this amazing wall art https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=31721871&parentid=SALE_APT#/ !!!!!
It just felt like something that you would buy!
I have the little glass skull candle holder. I got mine at K-mart around Halloween & I see them every year 🙂 BTW I adore your blog. All. of. it. Especially when you change your mind. I truly shows you are human! My fam thinks I’m crazy, but my projects NEVER look like what I had originally planned. Or its done and I scrap it and start over because i have “better” ideas.
Mandi, I love your style! I love reading your blog because you make me laugh and your style is so in sync with mine! You’re awesome!
How lucky am I? I found you on the www looking for diy inspiration for a tea cup clock of all things! You are one talented woman. Thanks for the inspiration and tutorials. Love how you put things together. Will be visiting often for more.
