Sometimes I get so busy with the things I “have” to do, that I overlook the things that I love. So todays post is a photo dump of sorts with a theme.
Sometimes I look at my girls and wonder how such beautiful things are mine.
And then I remember they are just like me.
Sometimes I wonder why the scooter riding is going at a snails pace.
And then I realize its because she is so darn independent.
Sometimes when I look at the files in my computer and see that 90% of them are pictures of furniture and tutorials I feel like the worst mom in the world.
And then I realize that only I can change that.
Sometimes I wish that there was more time to hang out with this girl.
And then I realize the Wanda and Sylvia will be back together soon and taking a room by storm on some unsuspecting victim…
Lets just let that soak in for a second.
.
Sometimes I find really cool crap at the thrift store.
And then I have to come to terms with the fact that I paid more than its actually worth. Oh well, its pretty fab.
Sometimes I go to the grocery store at midnight and secret smile inside when I buy a magazine that I have been featured in.
And then I remember that the life I have, though far from perfect, is pretty dang cool.
Love Your Guts, Mandi
Sometimes I think you’re awesome. Oh wait..that’s ALL the time. No worries girl..we ALL feel that “sometimes bug”!! 🙂
My picture folders look the same exact way….but with cookie tutorials. 😉 Love this post.

you’re awesome – great post!!
Your girls are so friggen cute!!! You do have a beautiful life:) P.S… I have let it sink in, and concluded that Wanda and Sylvia need to join me… Bertha… and redo my retail space. Let that sink in. I have an awesome retail space where I sell my sweet furniture redos and awesome finds but it is time for it to get a face lift! I am expanding and now have a double space in an old barn in Castle Rock, CO. It is really cool… and I am pretty sure Wanda and Sylvia’s touch would be exactly what it needs. Just sayin. We can paint the walls, floors… whatever. Just let that sink in.
I love your take on things…your kids, your home, your life! Keep it up! It makes us smile.
LOVE this! and you!!! 🙂
This is one of the many reasons I love your blog. Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
so very true!!!
loooove all of this – especially the pictures of your girls! And one of my main goals this summer is to take pictures of PEOPLE instead of just my projects!!
This is such a great post. You are amazing!
Haha – great pics of your girls!!! They do get the fun personality from you!!
Looks like you got a new camera??? Those pics of your kids are great.
One of my most favorite posts so far. Your girls are beautiful and fun and silly just like you, which makes them extra fabulous. And I’d buy magazines in the middle of the day if I were featured. In fact, I’ve done just that. 🙂
This was a great post.
1.) You are NOT the worst mom in the world 🙂 We’ve all felt that way at one time or another. For instance, school starts in exactly 9 days and I haven’t registered them yet or taking them shopping for school supplies….how awful is that? 🙂
2.) Your girls are beautiful — awesome pics!
3.) I am so jealous that you’ve been featured in yet another magazine! I mean, I actually bought that magazine the other day and was flipping through it while trying not to ruin the mac-n-cheese when I came across your desk redo….and I was like, “Heyyy – I know her!” even though we’ve never met 🙂 And then I was all like, “I wish that was me” and cried into the boiling noodles 🙂
4.) The clock is…….something I would never have pegged you to buy and, somehow, not surprised at all.
You’re awesome….keep up the good work 🙂
Great post and funny too! Saw you on Nate Berkus couple of days ago for the first time. Greatly talented you are. Book marked your site to see what you come up with next!
Being true to our own hearts and trusting our instincts about what matters in life is more important that following someone else’s ideas about right and wrong. You seem to be on the right path. 🙂
As usual, keepin’ it real–it’s why I follow you. Great post.
Hey Mandi–
I just found a broken (not too badly)Cuckoo Clock at Goodwill for $4. What are you going to do with yours? I was thinking I would take the “guts” out (in your honor!)and then paint it shiny white…ala, moderne. Just wondering…before I get out the spray paint!
i loved this post! love the pic of you too. i think it’s hard to find balance between wife, mother, friend, church callings, and work (blogging). i’m not there yet, but i hope to be one day.
Can I please be your unsuspecting victim? My bedroom still has popcorn ceilings…that’s a worthy cause if I’ve ever heard one:) Plus, I’m just across town!
