Sometimes you create for fun, this was created out of pure necessity.
I have tried everything to keep our toothbrushes out of my 2 year olds hands. But regardless of how hard we try she always gets atleast one a week. She then proceeds to feed it to Agnes our Bulldog. Then of course they are unuseable and I have to buy a new one. This cycle of craziness has continued until no one knows which toothbrush is theirs because I change them so often. See our problem?
Well here is my solution:
And here is how I did it.
Then I drilled 4 small holes on the underside of the frame like so:
Then I screwed 4 small hooks in the predrilled holes
Replace the plaque and your frame is done. Easy Peasy.
In order to hang the toothbrushes they need to have holes in them. Mine didnt so I just got a drill bit and drilled them. The hard clear plastic ones were easier but, they were both cake…
Ha! Leave it to you to make a toothbrush holder fabulous. 🙂
at least your two-year-old doesn’t steal the toothbrushes and proceed to dip them in the toilet water because he can’t turn on the sink – yes, I walked in on him brushing his teeth this way – *shudder* – looks like I need to make one of these….
Awesome-sauce!
Perfect! Maybe I should make this for my teens so they don’t lose them…nah.
This is actually a genius solution! No more toothbrushes for the pup! =)

This is great! Now did you mention to nail the frame to the wall? Lol!
That is an incredibly GREAT idea!!! Great job!!!
This is such a neat idea & it evens adds some new decor. I may have to make one for myself.
Girl, I love it. Need it, too. The 1 year old takes everyone’s toothbrush.
I thought I was the only one who said “Don’t You Judge Me!”
GENIUS!! I have that same problem with our toddlers… now to find a frame I love! Thanks!
I had a toddler who could get to or out of anything!!! So I am not laughing. It was super stressful. Good news though! It means they are really, really smart! Light at the end of the tunnel, hang in there 🙂
that is so fun! and at least you got to reuse the expensize frame! 🙂 i just bought my kids some of the beagle tooth brush holders that the container store had. we have a beagle and a basset beagle mix so they were appropriate. your is much more creative though!
I LOVE it!
You drilled holes in the toothbrushes.
Girl. You’ve plum lost your mind.
But it is cute…so losing your mind is alright.
Very cute, and practical! I say it’s a win/win!
I LOVE this!! Definitely might have to make one myself!:)
Way cute and practical! I think you solved your problem 🙂
how fricken cute! its not only functional but its wall art!!!
Funky idea. A little curious to know if it works functionally. I think the water will drip after use and cause an ugly mess.
What a freaking great idea. I love it!
Poorvi,
I am sure in a week I will be wishing that I had painted it white..cause I have awesome housekeeping skillz. Maybe it can be my daughters chore?
Okay, my toddler is obsessed with our brushes too. But the only thing I have about leaving them hung up, and out in the open in the bathroom is that they say when you flush the toilet with the lid up particles from you know what fly into the air and can get on your toothbrush. ICK, right?
Sorry to be a buzz kill.
I nominated you for a stylish blogger award 🙂
Oh my…this makes me feel so much less alone! We call our two year old “the tiny tot terror”. Our toothbrushes have been in the litter box, back of the diaper, toilet, and everywhere in between! So tired of buying new ones!!
This is a fantastic idea!! Thank you for sharing!
clever, clever!! i love it… i too have one of those same plaques, which as it happens grady painted all over the quote part with nailpolish (and my bedspread, and my dresser… oh, and the carpet.) i never thought to modge podge paper over it, all is not lost!! thanks for the good idea!
You should market this idea…LOL!!
Oh so clever! Loving it!
I absolutely love how honest and genuine you are! Plus, this is a great idea. You’ve got to do whatever it takes when you’ve got kids.
Love your creativity! LOL! I wish I would have thought of this when my 6 year old was younger. She was a tooth brush dipper…as in the toilet! Yikes! xo
oh my goodness! This is genious!!! I CAN NOT wait to make this! I have 5 kiddos under 5 and my littlest little is the toothbrush monster!!! Every.day. I am dealing w/ her and the toothbrushes! Definitely a must-do for this weekend!
