Whats up my homies? So I am having a bit of inner turmoil.
I love me some decorating craziness right? Is it bad to want to paint EVERY room in my house something fierce? I know that I will LOVE it but I am just wondering if in 5 years when we want to move that the people that want to move in will be like “WHAT THE @(*# IS WRONG WITH THIS LADY?” And I also dont want to over-decorate my crib. Decisions decisions.
UPDATE: Ok so I grew a pair. I am starting the painting right.this.second. I cant wait to show you guys! I still want you opinions though!
What would you do?
Five years is a long time to live in a house that’s not decorated to your wishes. Go ahead and paint it, and when you move paint it back to a neutral color.
I say paint it and enjoy now! You can always do something different don the line if you want to sell!
I say paint away!!!! Your home is a reflection of who you are. Make it what you want it to be and don’t be afraid of what someone will think 5 years down the road. From what I’ve seen in the week since I’ve found your blog, you’re doing GREAT!! And you’re an ispiration to me! I love your wall o’ mirrors so much that I have one of my own in progress!!!! Hope you don’t mind. =)
You should see my kids’ rooms. They are each individualized and unique to them and their personalities. I have pictures posted on my blog, but you’d probably have to go back a ways to find all 3 rooms. I’d be happy to email you some pictures if you’re curious. =)
Go for it! It’s your house, and while you are living in it, you should enjoy it to the fullest. When/if you ever move, just paint the rooms back to a neutral color and you will be fine.
I would do it.
I always like to change things up and painting is the best way to do it.
And I’m living in a rental now for the first time in 17 years and can’t paint so I say go for it!

I painted my first house just like I wanted and decorated to suit my own taste, which is pretty bold~the house sold in 4 weeks for more than any other in the neighborhood ever had! That was 2 yrs ago in a very bad housing economy.I think people are refreshed to see something different! Go with what you love~
you go girl with the painting!!! You could repaint some room in your house later if you don’t like it – but paint is an easy fix – so just do it!!! Hey are you gonna do a look what I found friday? I have some fun thrift store goodies from this weekend:) Love ya bbff!!!
With the caveat that this advice is coming from someone with a purple kitchen, I say paint it!
I say paint! You can always repaint later. You’ve got to make your house YOU!
Nothing makes me want to gag more while looking at houses than seeing that the neutral fairy threw up on the walls. Seriously. You’re making the right decision.

I say it’s your house do what you want. Don’t worry about 5 years from now. You will probably change it by then anyway. Make your house your own!! Can’t wait to see pics.
