An intervention is in order. I have been buying furniture again.
The problem that I am seeing is, once I clear everything out of my house after the Hoard Sale I feel like new ideas have room to breathe. And so they start…and then they grow…and next thing you know I am calling everyone I know asking if they can help me track down a swirly wicker headboard from the late 70’s. Oh yes, I am SO going there. The good news? I found one. The bad news? Only 133 people COMBINED on FB and Instagram liked it. Which I think means that you are scared. Which I LOVE. Also you should be aware that when I am done with this, you are going to be wanting one too. Consider yourself warned.
I have also bought a couch (the cushions look more deflated in this pic than they are in real life) and a few of you asked about buying used upholstery.
Typically I don’t buy used upholstery unless it is being reupholstered. But with a few cases like my orange couch and with this one, I bought them to use as is. In both cases I felt like I had a really good grasp on who the previous owners are (the previous orange couch owner is my friend, and the woman who owned this couch is a neat freak. Her house was spotless and we had to take our shoes off every time we came in the front door during the transport.) That being said, I don’t know if I would buy a couch without any indication who the previous owner with no intention of reupholstering. Make sense? And of course you want to CSI clean and get every piece of anything that could be evidence that it was owned by someone else off of it.
These dining room chairs (because I LOVE the black ones more than life) I got them from the couch lady.
This bench for my 15 year old niece’s bedroom that is getting an overhaul in the next few weeks. So if you have a teenage girl in your life, hang tight because this room is going to be filled with stuff that she can do herself!
And this little side table because it was pretty cute and $5.00.
Do you have any amazing scores lately? I want to see them! Leave a link in the comments so we can all be jealous!
I adore the couch and the headboard! I agree that it can be weird to buy used upholstered furniture without a plan to reupholster it, but when the piece is in really good condition I tend to go for it!

I love your new finds! Excited to see what you do with the headboard.
I purchased a couple new pieces this week, too! My local Pottery Barn is selling lots of floor models and older backroom inventory, so I got some great deals.
This cart for $150 …

It’s for outside, but I will use it indoors…somewhere 🙂
And this table for $200 …

We’ve needed a large diameter side table for some time, to fill a big corner in our den. Our small side table currently in that spot just isn’t working.
Fun fun fun!
Omg how cute, It kind of looks like the Headboard on the Country Living Mag.
Have you seeing it?
And I totally love the black chairs.
I found some great stuff this weekend at great prices

Ugh, you get THEEE best scores. My heart is throbing over that bench/coffee table
You would be so, so fun to shop with, though bad for my budget:) Love everything in this post, including the headboards.
Just yesterday, I had an AWESOME score at my local DI! Here’s the link: https://ifihadanythingtosay.blogspot.com/2013/06/frugal-finds-vintage-coffee-table.html
I also found some great upholstery fabrics ($1 and $2 for a nice size roll) which I am going to use to recover some 60s chairs my husband’s grandmother owned. So excited! Love your blog!
Oh. my. peanutbutter. You stole my chairs!! ok, not really. My friend has that same black chair and I have been swooning over it for months! So i have been SCOURING ksl for something that looks like it- and YOU have them! Hand them over!! 😉
Congrats on the great finds 🙂
Digging that little table!
What a haul! I scored this amazing Mid-century desk not long ago… it’s awesomely awesome

For free, baby… FREE!
I have been looking to score one of those peacock wicker headboards for my 6 year old for some time now! The search continues…Until then I will be tuning back in to see what fabulousness you have in store for yours.
I love the 70’s swirly stuff! Can’t wait to see what you do with it! You always have some awesome finds!!!
I can’t wait to see what you did with the swirly headboard. And that couch lady looks like she had cool taste!!!
That sofa is AMAZING! Can’t wait to see how you transform the rest. I hit flea market gold about a month ago;

I think the headboard will be great! I still have a fun headboard sitting in my basement waiting for a basement bedroom so it can have a makeover. I have been collecting lately too! I have a bentwood rocker ($25), a small leather upholstered chair on wheels($15) and a curved tufted couch($15). The only one that is not being reupholstered is the leather one. The leather is in good shape and I bought some leather restoration stuff to try on it to freshen up the color. I LOVE old furniture!
I just bought 2 vintage nightstands that have cute little tambour doors on them. I was intending to repaint them but now I think I will just clean them up and put new knobs on them….
Oh do I find things! I am a Craigslist addict, and here is one of my recent A-MAZING scores: Insanely Ornate Vintage Carved Dining Set ! My favorite find, however, is my vintage leather Chesterfield (warning: hilariously overdramatic retelling of how I acquired said sofa!).
I have totally seen wicker headboards like that before, and I’m convinced it’ll be AWESOME when you’re done!
I’m so jealous! Love it all…and I thought I did well with this $25 campaign dresser, free walnut Jenny Lind bed, antique sideboard (currently we’re refinishing this guy and it came with a whole pile of furniture from an old barn) and $3 maple butcher block top for an industrial kitchen island I’m hoping to make in the future. Once I get my hands on some old machinery legs/base. Gotta love craigslist! I know your rush and hoarding is my problem too. Can’t wait to see that headboard!

I already know exactly what that headboard is, so add +1 to the likes. They’re gorgeous and amazing.
I know the couch is pre-owned, but is it old or a fairly new piece? Looks shockingly similar to the Corona sofa from Macy’s. See our sectional version here: https://milk-shed.com/our-detroit-home/
That hex side table is amazing and I LOVE that headboard! Can’t wait to see what you do with it. I’ve been dying to use one in a room, but know that it’s more of a “my style” item than an “our style” item. So it wouldn’t go in the master – and I already found an amazing brass twin headboard & footboard for our guest room, just $25 on Craigslist. I don’t have pictures or info on my blog, because we don’t even live in the house with said guest room yet, much less have a twin bed to attach the head/footboards to. Talk about hoarding! Glad I’m not the only one
However, there is no edition about Strength DPS group. However, very good news comes out that Blizzard will add Strength Ashen Judgment Ring in the long Cheap WOW Gold run. Here we would like to present the jewellery for the gamers.First, the group known as Ashen Category of Might needs the gamers who get it must achieve the Buy Runescape Gold popularity level of the Ashen Judgment to helpful.
Bring on the swirly 70s headboard! I LOVE IT. Count me as #134.
I had that exact headboard in high school (90s) and loved it. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Oh, I forgot to attach my link… Here’s the awesome mid-century dresser I found for $60. Amish-made and solid wood. https://rentalrevival.com/home/2013/5/23/nifty-thrifty-finds-i-found-a-dresser
I LOVE those swirly wicker headboard! I follow you on instagram and saw the other posts, but didn’t see that one. Perhaps it was the timing that caused the minimal amount of likes… and by minimal I mean about 7 times more than I’d get on a good day! 😉
Aggghhhh!!! I had the same headboard. Oh, how I’ve missed it. Can’t wait to see how you transform it!
You make me so sad. My sister inherited our grandmother’s king sized swirly headboard just like yours and used it for years and years. When she re-married she wanted a new bed so she sold the swirls in a yard sale. Since then I’ve seen them all over Pinterest and want to rip her eyes out for getting rid of it. She has total remorse over it too. I cant wait to see what you do with it.And if I werent all the way across the country Id totally offer to buy your old bed-love that too.
