Just a Little Update on the Worlds Smallest DIYer

The Bremlin is 6 Months Old!?

By Mandi 06/30/2016

Hey friends!! I’m dying over here and just have to share. Mr. Brem is 6 months old (or will be in a few days). What is it with these milestone ages that just leave you wondering WHAT THE HECK HAVE I DONE THE LAST 6 MONTHS?! Oh right, I’ve snuggled my baby and occasionally bought a new plant. That’s it! The crazy thing is that as hyper productive as I usually am, I feel completely fine with how I’ve spent my time. Not a second of time feels wasted. Its amazing!

Brem 6 months

He is the best thing that has ever happened to our family (you know, besides sobriety) every morning when he wakes up with a huge grin on his face it just feels like the best gift in the world.

He’s sitting like a champ and is inch-worming his way around. He still is only laughing occasionally, but I’ll be danged if we don’t try every waking second to get a giggle out of him.

It is complete and utter joy.

I’m doing loads better too. Especially after my post last week. I just learn more and more that if I keep things in, I am just postponing the pain and staying isolated and in my head about it. Sharing where I was at and hearing the amazing comments from all of you completely turned everything around for my perspective. It was just what I needed and I’m in the process of emailing everyone back (so if you haven’t gotten your note yet, its coming!)

In the meantime I wanted to share something that I’m loving! I’m sure most of you know Chris Loves Julia, well they just launched a podcast and it is so so fun. They interviewed me a few weeks ago about DIYing with kids and there are loads of fun tips and advice packed into it! You can check out their podcast here!

  1. He’s so cute! I don’t know how you do anything but play with him all day! LOL

Thanks for your sweet email. It was really nice to receive a personal message from you. I know it must take a ton of time to respond to so many messages!

Can’t wait to check out the podcast this weekend while I’m working on house projects!

  2. That boy is the cutest! They grow and change so fast. I am glad that you have had time to snuggle him and take it easy for a while. I listened to that podcast a couple weeks ago and it was the best! Loved hearing your perspective.
    Thanks

  3. I understand you perfectly, I have daughter she is two year old now. First year of my child pass by as blink of my eye. In Second one I got bit relaxed and productive on other fields than parenting. It is nice experience only thing what is discomfort is sleeping. You can forgot how it is look like when you woke up fresh and full of energy.
